NYC: "CHAMPAGNE PAM" AT THE METROPOLITAN ROOM
Vocalist "Champagne Pam" (Pamela Lewis) is joined by pianist John Colianni (Les Paul Trio) and guitarist John Hurley as she uncorks her rare and complex blend of sweet, slightly tart and full-bodied cabaret at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Friday, July 30th at 7:30 pm. Bubbling with a spectrum of music, from Chaka Khan to Sondheim, this show is intended to pop with the cabaret devotee as well as newcomers to the genre. Born and raised in metro-New York, Lewis' passion for performing and music traces back to age 5 when she gave an impromptu performance for a crowd of 200. In recent years, Pamela has been featured in a range of venues and performances, including music, comedy and acting - both improvisational and scripted. In addition to the singer/songwriter duo with her husband, Lewis fronts a ten-piece orchestra. She was introduced to the world of cabaret by frequenting shows with her late aunt Marilyn.copyright 2010 - CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE - POST YOUR COMMENTS BELOW
