Following a successful four-month run at San Martin on the East Side, Chris Barrett brings his music to LA RIVISTA RISTORANTE (313 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-366-4603) for an open ended run on Mondays through Wednesdays starting Monday, January 21st. There are two shows nightly, a dinner show at 8:00 and a supper show at 10:00 pm. Chris Barrett's performances are in the tradition of the great late-night boites of a fondly remembered era, when the likes of Hugh Shannon, Bobby Short, and Buddy Barnes manned the keyboard.Chris Barrett's career highlights include repeat engagements at New York's Stanhope, Carlyle, Pierre, UN Plaza and Westbury Hotels. Also in New York he has appeared in cabaret at The Metropolitan Room, Don't Tell Mama, Helen's Hideaway Room, Danny's Skylight Room, Judy's Chelsea, L'Omnibus d' Maxims; The Reprise Room @ Dillon's and the famed FireBird Cafe. He most recently concluded a four month run at upstairs @ San Martin, NYC. There is no cover charge.

In a rare public appearance, Andy Warhol Superstar Holly Woodlawn returns to New York with a new live show, The Holly Woodlawn Show. It will be presented for two performances only: Friday, May 17th and Monday, May 20th, both shows at 7:30 pm at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909). The Holly Woodlawn Show is a new evening of songs and stories by this incomparable transgender artist, as well as a frank question & answer session. It includes her signature rendition of the Lou Reed song "Take a Walk on the Wild Side," plus other classics. Woodlawn will be accompanied by Lance Cruce, long-time pianist for Joan Rivers. Born in Puerto Rico in 1946, HOLLY WOODLAWN was part of the Andy Warhol Factory scene in the 1960s and 1970s, the wildly creative underground downtown Manhattan scene that created visual art, films, music, and performance. Along with fellow Warhol Superstars and associates including Lou Reed, Edie Sedgwick, Sylvia Miles, Viva, Penny Arcade, and Candy Darling, Holly appeared in projects regularly and the gossip columns constantly. Her leading role in the film "Andy Warhol's Trash," directed by Paul Morrissey and co-starring the iconic Joe Dallesandro, catapulted her to international stardom. Noted director George Cukor even petitioned to have Woodlawn nominated for an Academy Award for the role. She appeared on stage in two plays by Jackie Curtis: Heaven Grand in Amber Orbit and Vain Victory. There is a $22 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum. Once a year, Porchlight Music Theatre brings together some of Chicago's finest music theatre and cabaret talent to celebrate the Chicago theatre community through the work of some of the most iconic songwriters in music theatre. This year, the legendary duo of KANDER AND EBB are the center of attention, and Porchlight will be throwing a concert atMAYNE STAGE (1328 West Morse Avenue, Chicago, IL - 773-381-4554) for one night only on Monday, May 20th at 7:00 pm.

Nothing but a voice, singing of life's triumphs and tragedies. Latin Jazz Legend Arturo Sandoval will perform at BLUES ALLEY (1073 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC - 202-337-4141) Thursday through Sunday, May 16th through 19th with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. Granted political asylum in July 1990 and US citizenship in 1999, Sandoval and his family now call Miami, Florida home. A protege of the legendary jazz master Dizzy Gillespie, Sandoval was born in Artemisa, a small town in the outskirts of Havana, Cuba, on November 6, 1949, just two years after Gillespie became the first musician to bring Latin influences into American Jazz. Sandoval began studying classical trumpet at the age of twelve, but it didn't take him long to catch the excitement of the jazz world. He has since evolved into one of the World's most acknowledged guardians of jazz trumpet and flugel horn, as well as a renowned classical artist, pianist and composer. LUNA STAGE (555 Valley Road, West Orange, NJ - 973-395-5551) closes its 2012-2013 Jazz Series with a concert featuring critically acclaimed drummer Greg Bufford in a tribute to legendary Philly Joe Jones, Bufford's teacher and mentor. The concert is on Sunday, May 19th at 7:00 pm. Greg Bufford met the legendary drummer Philly Joe Jones in 1975 in Philadelphia when Jones let him sit in with his quartet. Bufford was born in Kaiserslautern, Germany; grew up in Harrisburg, PA; and lived in Philadelphia from 1975-81 before moving to New York and, in 1998, to West Orange, NJ. He has a jazz performance degree from Rutgers University and has played with several celebrated jazz musicians such as alto saxophonist Sonny Stitt and baritone saxophonist Cecil Payne. The Colorado native, who now resides in Los Angeles, is a familiar face on TV in series and commercials as well as the big screen in films, but her passion is singing with her four-octave range. In this show Gia takes us on a journey through several decades with a mix going from romantic to comedic. Along with Gia will be musical director Charlie Barnett on the piano. The show is part of the Sundays In Summer Series presented by Les Michaels. $10 cash only tickets available at the box office at 1:00 pm the day of the show.

NiCori Studios and Productions in association with Oakeside Bloomfield Cultural Center announces a new installment in the monthly concert series, "Music at the Mansion", on Sunday, May 19th, at 3:00 pm at THE OAKESIDE BLOOMFIELD CULTURAL CENTER(240 Belleville Avenue, Bloomfield, NJ - 973-429-0960). Performers include Jennie Litt & David Alpher, Ilene Angel and 4th Wall Theatre. The featured performer in the "Young Musician Moment" will be Kevin Bergen. "Music at the Mansion" is a series showcasing talented performers from NYC and NJ. The series is hosted by NYC Cabaret singer and Bloomfield resident Corinna Sowers-Adler and features Terri Gorgone on piano. Seating begins at 2:30 pm. Light refreshments will be served. Artists in Partnership Presents 11th Annual Cabaret Festival honoring the Great American Songbook in Long Island, NY Friday through Sunday, May 17th through May 19th at THE LONG BEACH PUBLIC LIBRARY (111 West Park Avenue, Long Beach, NY - 516-432-6342 - http://www.aip-arts.org/ ). All performances are FREE to the public. The festival will feature performances by renowned local and New York City-based artists.

2:00 pm - FABULOUS JAZZ featuring Marilyn Maye performs with pianist Tedd Firth; Stephanie Nakasian performs with Hod O'Brien on piano and guest artist Veronica O'Brien.

This event is made possible with public funds from the Long Beach Public Library and a special Burst Grant from NY State Assemblyman Harvey Weisenberg.
