SAN FRANCISCO, CA: MICHAEL FEINSTEIN RETURNS TO FEINSTEIN'S TO CELEBRATE ACADEMY AWARD-WINNING LYRICISTS ALAN & MARILYN BERGMAN - MAY 18th - 22nd
Two-time Emmy and five-time Grammy Award-nominated Michael Feinstein returns to FEINSTEIN'S AT THE NIKKO (222 Mason Street, San Francisco, CA - 866-663-1063) for five performances only on Wednesday through Sunday, May 18th through 22nd with a special celebration of Academy Award-winning lyricists Alan and Marilyn Bergman. Considered one of the premier interpreters of American standards, Feinstein will perform some of the Bergman's greatest songs, including "The Way We Were," "Nice N' Easy," "A Piece of Sky," "How Do You Keep the Music Playing," among others. Alan Bergman will join Feinstein onstage nightly through the engagement. Michael Feinstein, Ambassador of the Great American Songbook, has built a dazzling career over the last three decades bringing the music of the Great American songbook to the world. From recordings that have earned him five Grammy Award nominations to his Emmy nominated PBS-TV specials, his acclaimed NPR series and concerts spanning the globe - in addition to his appearances at iconic venues such as The White House, Buckingham Palace, Hollywood Bowl, Carnegie Hall and Sydney Opera House - his work as an educator and archivist define Feinstein as one of the most important musical forces of our time. The performance schedule is as follows: Wednesday, May 18th at 7:00 pm; Thursday, May 19th at 8:00 pm; Friday, May 20th at 8:00 pm; Saturday, May 21st at 7:00 pm; and Sunday, May 22nd at 3:00 pm. There is an $80-$95 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.
