On May 15th, at their annual fundraising gala, Cabaret Cares/ Help Is On The Way Today will honor BROADWAY CARES/EQUITY FIGHTS AIDS (http://www.bcefa.org/ ), the organization that was Macchia's inspiration. The event will be held this year at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Sunday, May 15th. A second Spirit Award will be given to Frank Dain, Editor of Cabaret Scenes Magazine.
