LONDON: THE CRAZY COQS PRESENTS STEFAN BEDNARCZYK

One of London's most popular artists, Stefan Bednarczyk, returns to THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888 - ) with his show AN EVENING OF FLANDERS AND SWANN, a tribute to Michael Flanders and Donald Swann, the hilarious and hugely talented writers and performers popular in the 50s and 60s on Tuesday through Saturday, June 23rd through 27th at 8:00 pm. The show was originally commissioned in 1995 by the widows of Flanders and Swann, premiering in the West End and going on to be performed all over the world. Claudia Flanders regarded Bednarczyk as the finest interpreter of her late husband's work. Between 1956 and 1967, Flanders and Swann toured Britain and abroad, performing songs and comic monologues in their long-running two-man revues At the Drop of a Hat and At the Drop of Another Hat. Bednarczyk is an actor, Musical Director and cabaret performer. His extensive credits as Musical Director include shows at prestigious venues all over London, and as a solo cabaret performer he has enjoyed seasons in London, New York and many major European cities. He has also performed two sell-out runs at Crazy Coqs with the actress Anne Reid in their Comden and Green show Just In Time. Call for cover/minimum information.

LONDON: CELIA DELANEY: "MAN WANTED" AT THE PHEASANTRY

Celia Delaney reflects on the desperation of being a 40-something singleton in modern London in her show 'Man Wanted' at THE PHEASANTRY (152-154 King's Road, London SW3 4UT - 08456 027 017) on Tuesday, June 23rd at 8:30 pm. She will be accompanied by Sarah Hobson on piano - presented by Paul L. Martin. Her songs are in equal parts funny and poignant and reveal the exploits of a middle-aged woman contending with dating, biology, flat hunting and sex in a post-fifty-shades world. In a performance filled with dark comedy that flirts with jazz, pop and musical theatre parody, she combines pathos, dark humour and casual sexiness into a consistently funny act, which earned her a Best Newcomer nomination in the London Cabaret Awards 2015. Call for cover/minimum information.
