LONDON: CLAIRE MARTIN AT THE CRAZY COQ

Claire Martin OBE and rising star pianist Jamie Safiruddin celebrate Lady Day's centenary with a programme of Billie Holiday favourites at THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888 - ) on Thursday through Saturday, June 18th through 20th at 8:00 pm. Songs include "Good Morning Heartache", "God Bless the Child" and "Fine and Mellow", all stylishly reworked by this dynamic duo. Claire has been a driving force in the UK jazz scene for nearly 30 years. She is also a presenter on BBC Radio 3's Jazz Line Up, now in its 15th year. Call for cover/minimum information.

LONDON: THE PHEASANTRY PRESENTS LYDIA GARROW

Lydia Garrow performs at THE PHEASANTRY (152-154 King's Road, London SW3 4UT - 08456 027 017) on Saturday, June 20th at 8:30 pm. Lydia Garrow has a voice with the versatility to sing 'deeply-moving' balads as well as sassy bossa nova numbers. Her sensitivity to each song will draw you in. Born into a bohemian family where music was a staple diet, Lydia grew up in an environment where singing and playing instruments were a natural progression. As such Lydia has been singing since she was a young child. After winning a music scholarship to her London school, Lydia's potential was nurtured and developed by the head of Lieder at the Royal Conservatoire of England. Call for cover/minimum information.
