NYC: JANE SCHECKTER AT CAFE NOCTAMBULO WITH BOBBY SHORT TRIBUTE

Jane Scheckter will bring a newly revised version of her tribute show "Jane Scheckter Loves Adores Misses Bobby Short" to CAFE NOCTAMBULO AT PANGEA (178 Second Avenue, NYC - 212-995-0900) on Thursdays April 2nd, 9th and 16th and 7:00 pm. Originally presented at 88s in 1996 as "Jane Scheckter Loves Adores Bobby Short", this show will mark the tenth anniversary of Bobby Short's passing. The program features many signature Bobby Short songs, as well as lesser-known works he performed during his remarkable career. Many of the arrangements are inspired by Short's charts and earned high praise from him when he came to see the show on opening night in 1996. He was inadvertently caught on Jane's performance tape, talking to the people at his table, telling them, "I adored it. It was adorable. It was a valentine to me". Jane will be supported by the trio of Tedd Firth, musical directo; Jay Leonhart on bass; and Peter Grant on percussion. The show is directed by Eric Michael Gillett. Jane is a Bistro Award winner for female vocalist and a five-time MAC award nominee. There is a $20 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.

NYC: "AN EVENING WITH JENNIFER ROBERTS" AT MAMA'S

After successful shows at Judy's Chelsea and Don't Tell Mama, Michigan's Jennifer Roberts is back to celebrate her love for Manhattan with two shows DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Tuesday & Thursday, April 7th & 9th at 10:15 pm. Musical Director Tedd Firth will join Jennifer along with bass player Ritt Henn. Directed by Andy Gale with technical direction by Jason Ellis, "An Evening With Jennifer Roberts" features Firth's spectacular arrangements of songs from composers Leonard Bernstein and Kurt Weill to Cy Coleman, Sheldon Harnick, Duke Ellington and Dave Frishberg. Jennifer, whose regional credits include Sarah Brown opposite Broadway leading man Tom Wopat in Guys and Dolls, serves up an entertaining, exhilarating, jazz-infused show that highlights her wide vocal range. Drawing on her own diverse and eclectic background - she's been a symphony soloist, motivational trainer, high school drama director, Opryland theme park singer and dancer, and travels the country as an automotive industry spokeswoman - Jennifer's heartfelt, theatrical performance showcases her unique blend of drama and humor. Jennifer has appeared as Guenevere in Camelot, directed by Tod Booth, and in both the soprano and alto roles in several versions of The All Night Strut, directed by Fran Charnas. She boasts numerous radio and television commercials and has appeared in films and on television shows, including Conviction, opposite Hilary Swank, and Unsolved Mysteries. With a BFA in theater from Wayne State University in Detroit, Jennifer later studied acting with Uta Hagen. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: GLORIA REUBEN - PERCHANCE TO DREAM

Gloria Reuben, actress, jazz singer and social activist, brings her show "Perchance to Dream" to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Thursday, April 9th at 7:00 pm. She brings with her an impressive list of credentials in television, film, theater and music. She portrayed "Elizabeth Keckley" in the Steven Spielberg film LINCOLN and starred opposite Samuel L. Jackson in REASONABLE DOUBT. Her debut Jazz album PER CHANCE TO DREAM is being released today, April 9th, on MCG Jazz Label. There is a $30 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: PATTI LUPONE - "THE LADY WITH THE TORCH"

Broadway's Patti LuPone returns to 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) for an extended run that begins on Thursday, April 2nd and extends to Tuesday, April 14th. Patti LuPone's appearances at 54 Below have already achieved the status of legend. The two-time Tony Award winner returns to 54 Below with her critically-acclaimed show The Lady with A Torch. LuPone performs an eclectic collection of torch songs by such composers and lyricists as Arthur Schwartz, Howard Dietz, Jule Styne, Sammy Cahn, Billy Barnes, Harold Arlen, George and Ira Gershwin, and Cole Porter. The show is conceived and directed by Scott Wittman, musical direction by Joseph Thalken, orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick and dialogue by Jeffrey Richman. NYC: LUBA MASON WITH MIXTURA ST 54 BELOW

Luba Mason, who starred on Broadway in How To Succeed..., The Capeman, Jekyll and Hyde, Chicago, The Will Rogers Follies, and more, brings her ground-breaking new show called MIXTURA, featuring MD and arranger Felipe Fournier, to 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Thursday, April 10th at 9:30 pm. The show takes its audience on a genre-bending ride of different musical styles in one eventful evening. MIXTURA is a musical format, a presentation of music "in the direction of creating synthesis which is a representation of everyone. That's what art is. Art doesn't take sides". NYC: TRAVIS KENT WITH "FIRSTS'

In his solo cabaret debut, Travis Kent joins forces with some of today's brightest contemporary composers for an evening full of "firsts" at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Thursday, April 9th at 11:30 pm as part of the club's Late Night Series. Featuring the works of Ryan Scott Oliver, Antonius Nazareth, Trevor Bachman, and Emily Dallas alongside other favorites, this high-energy concert is brimming with surprises and debut performances of fresh material. Be one of the first to experience this hot-off-the-press performance. Travis Kent is a New York City based actor, singer, and writer. He attended the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU, where he studied at the Atlantic Theater Company and CAP21, and works frequently with YouTube channel AVByte, with whom he has played several musical characters including Sherlock Holmes, Doctor Who, Batman, Harry Styles from One Direction, and a naked Darth Vader in his bathtub. With special guest Andrew Keenan-Bolger. There is a $20-40 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.

NYC: NOCHE FLAMENCA AT JOE'S PUB
