Eric Comstock returns to his residency at New York's newest music venue, CAFE NOCTAMBULO AT PANGEA(178 Second Avenue, NYC - 212-995-0900) from 8:00 pm to midnight every Tuesday night. An acknowledged master of the American Songbook, Comstock has appeared at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and virtually every important nightclub in New York and across the country. He is one of only a handful of singer/pianists who can command a room merely by sitting at the piano, singing and telling stories. In addition to his extensive knowledge of repertoire, Comstock has a seemingly unending supply of anecdotes about the songs, the writers, and the stars who sang them. His unique combination of musicianship, history and charisma creates an experience that is as entertaining as it is musically savvy, and his audiences feel they've been to a terrific party where the music and the stories have been equally great. NYC: JAZZ LEGEND ANNIE ROSS TUESDAYS THE METROPOLITAN ROOM

Jazz legend Annie Ross continues her unprecedented, record-breaking, multi-year run at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440), every Tuesday night at 9:30 pm. Ms. Ross has been an abundant contributor to the art of jazz for over 50 years. Born in the UK, she has been a permanent resident of the USA for many years and a US citizen since 2001. Annie Ross is one of the pioneers of vocalese and the composer of "Twisted", one of the most well known examples of that art, as well as "Farmers Market", "Jackie" and many others. NYC: THE JULIANA PROJECT BY VANDA

The JULIANA PROJECT returns to THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Tuesday, April 28th at 7:00 pm. Each month the cast of the JULIANA PROJECT performs a number of chapters from the novel, JULIANA, in a way that is similar to a mini-series. In each "episode" the story is brought to life as the actors recreate scenes from 1940s New York. Often these scenes occur in places familiar to modern day audiences, such as Times Square, MacDougal Street and Cafe Reggio. The "episodes" contain live musical performances, comedy, sex and drama, performed in clothing suggestive of the time period. The audience becomes engulfed in this bygone era and soon finds itself in the midst of a gripping story of gay men and women living through a tumultuous time of fear, triumph, secrecy, love and excitement. Vanda, the writer, has earned numerous awards as a playwright. In addition to being an Edward Albee Fellow, Vanda was a finalist for a Lambda Literary Award, and recently won Best New Play in Celebration Theater's New Play Contest (originators of Naked Boys Singing). Her play, PATIENT HM, won first place in Pride Stage and Screen's Women's Contest and another play, THE FORGETTING CURVE, which is under option to Theatrum Mundi, was produced at Boston Arts Center this past September. Her work has been produced in New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles and Scotland. Her prose has been published in Prairie Schooner, The Outrider Review and Pentimento. No cover, just a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: MARILYN MAYE SINGS SINATRA AT 54 BELOW IN 8 SHOW RUN

Popular vocalist Marilyn Maye performs a Sinatra-themed show at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) for 8 show, opening on Friday, April 17th at 7:00 pm with additional appearances on Saturday, April 18th at 2:00 pm; Thursday, April 23th at 7:00 pm; Friday, April 24th at 8:30 pm; Saturday, April 25th at 7:00 pm; Monday & Tuesday, April 27th & 28th at 7:00 pm; and Thursday, April 30th at 7:00 pm. Marilyn Maye is an artist for connoisseurs and her powerhouse delivery and chatty rapport with the audience is what holds the evening together and electrifies the proceedings. The aptly named production is an unabashed valentine to the late superstar, from the Super Singer that pays tribute to Sinatra's career with an immensely talented peer's interpretations of the songs that made Sinatra famous. It's a full-scale labor of love for another performer that is rarely seen from an artist of Maye's stature, and that is exactly what makes the show a must-see experience. There is a $55-$110 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.

NYC: BENJAMIN CLEMENTINE AT JOE'S PUB

Benjamin Clementine, who made his UK debut on "Later ... with Jools Holland" - the only unsigned artist to do so - becoming the most shared artist on Spotify following his performance, will perform at JOE'S PUB at THE PUBLIC THEATRE (425 Lafayette Street, NYC - 212-967-7555) on Tuesday, April 28th at 7:00 pm. Since then he's had support slots with Cat Power, Tune-Yards and Woodkid, released two EPS, and sold-out headline shows at Lia Cigale in Paris, Paradiso in Amsterdam and London's Purcell Rooms (five stars in the Standard), Koko and Emmanuel Centre. Now aged 25, Benjamin was raised in the London borough of Edmonton, growing up in a strict religious household. When he started to teach himself the keyboard aged 11, he was at first influenced by the sparse piano solos of Erik Satie. At 16 years old, in a rare moment of permitted TV watching, he caught Antony and the Johnsons performing 'Hope There's Someone' on the BBC. Inspired by Antony, and other figures including Leonard Cohen and Jake Thackray - and with no emotional or employment ties to keep him in London - Benjamin absconded to Paris aged 20; sleeping rough and busking on the metro out of economic necessity, building up a cult following in the process, before being signed to Universal via the independent label Behind. Benjamin's debut album At Least For Now will be released in France and other European territories in mid-Janaury 2015, and in the UK in late March. There is an $18 cover.

NYC: JULIAN FLEISHER RETURNS TO JOE'S PUB

Julian Fleisher returns to JOE'S PUB at THE PUBLIC THEATRE (425 Lafayette Street, NYC - 212-967-7555) on Tuesday, April 28th at 9:00 pm. Before the art of song was divided into narrow stylistic slices, before there was Jazz or Pop or Rock, there was "Saloon Singing". Like Sammy Davis, Jr, Ethel Water and Mel Torme before him, Julian Fleisher mixes masterful interpretations of a wide range of popular songs with kick-ass showmanship and a generously endowed band. There is a $25-$30 cover.
