NYC: JANE SCHECKTER AT CAFE NOCTAMBULO WITH BOBBY SHORT TRIBUTE

Jane Scheckter will bring a newly revised version of her tribute show "Jane Scheckter Loves Adores Misses Bobby Short" to CAFE NOCTAMBULO AT PANGEA (178 Second Avenue, NYC - 212-995-0900) on Thursdays April 2nd, 9th and 16th and 7:00 pm. Originally presented at 88s in 1996 as "Jane Scheckter Loves Adores Bobby Short", this show will mark the tenth anniversary of Bobby Short's passing. The program features many signature Bobby Short songs, as well as lesser-known works he performed during his remarkable career. Many of the arrangements are inspired by Short's charts and earned high praise from him when he came to see the show on opening night in 1996. He was inadvertently caught on Jane's performance tape, talking to the people at his table, telling them, "I adored it. It was adorable. It was a valentine to me". Jane will be supported by the trio of Tedd Firth, musical directo; Jay Leonhart on bass; and Peter Grant on percussion. The show is directed by Eric Michael Gillett. Jane is a Bistro Award winner for female vocalist and a five-time MAC award nominee. There is a $20 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.

Seth's weekly interview show always features stars, soon-to-be stars and folks behind the scenes of the musical theater stage - for just a $10 cover - 2-drink minimum. NYC: STING*CHRONICITY WITH ROSEMARY LOAR

STING*chronicity, with Rosemary Loar will be presented at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Sunday, March 8th and Thursday, April 2nd., both shows at 7:00 pm. The show offers a combination of monologues with a variety of musical arrangements of the music of the contemporary songwriter, Sting. The show is "set" in Madison Square Garden on the occasion of the final reunion concert of the iconic band, The Police, which was headed by Sting. STING*chronicity surveys the diverse audience, and their very varied interpretations of his music as the words of his songs are filtered by their unique lives and experiences. The show includes many of Sting's most popular and including "Message In A Bottle", "Moon Over Bourbon Street," "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic," "Roxanne," "Every Breath You Take." as well as some lesser known songs, like "Ghost Story," a song from Sting's Broadway show, The Last Ship. Monologues were provided by some of New York's most impressive playwrights: Diana Amsterdam, Mike Folie, Matt Hoverman, Cheryl Stern, Robert W. Atwood and Rosemary Loar, plus a charming offering from 13 year old Mia Katz. Loar conceived, directed and starred in the popularThe Alternative Torch series at Symphony Space from 2004-2006. As a recording artist, she can be heard on Sting's soundtrack for the movie The Emperor's New Groove, the cast albums of Chess and Sunset Boulevard and on The Listening Library Series. Last year she release of her sixth album, When Harry Met The Duke, a tribute to Duke Ellington and Harold Arlen. Barry Kleinbort who recently received rave reviews for directing John Epperson: Show Trash off-Broadway is at the director's helm. Renowned jazz artist/pianist and arranger Frank Ponzio will serve as musical director and will be joined by jazz bassist Tom Hubbard. Ms. Loar's extensive musical theater credits include a critically acclaimed turn as Grizabella in Cats, Sunset Boulevard (with Glenn Close), The Grinch Who Stole Christmas (with John Larroquette in L.A. and Shuler Hensley at Madison Square Garden), You Can't Take It With You, and Chess, as well as Once Upon A Mattress with Sarah Jessica Parker. There is a $22.50 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: ELEGANZA EGGSTRAVAGANZA: A PAGAN EASTER BURLESQUE

"Eleganza Eggstravaganza: A Pagan Easter Burlesque" will be presented at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Thursday, April 2nd at 9:30 pm. Starring Bunny Buxom as the Easter Bunny, Poppy Tart as the chick who broke the eggshell, Minx Arcana as the pagan high priestess, and Tiger Bay as the spring lamb, with host Iris Explosion. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum. (Special 2 for $30 cover applies)

NYC: BROADWAY SESSIONS THURSDAYS AT THE LAURIE BEECHMAN

Every Thursday night, as the curtains fall on Broadway, Host Ben Cameron (from Broadway's Wicked, Aida and Footloose) and his crew of amazingly talented folks welcome a new Broadway star to perform at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) at 10:30 pm in this fun and zany musical theater variety show. Get up close and personal with Broadway's brightest as the stars bare their souls, interact with the crowd and celebrate all things BROADWAY. There is a $5 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.

NYC: "DIRTY LAUNDRY" - TRIPLE THREAT COMEDY SHOW AT THE DUPLEX

Triple Threat Comedy's monthly Stand Up show "Dirty Laundry" will be presented at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Thursday, April 2nd at 9:30 pm. This month's comics include Charles McBee (AXS Live at Gotham, FOX Laughs), Madison Malloy (NYCC, The Stand), Mike Gillerman (San Diego Comedy Festival, The Advocate), JC Knows Best(Levity Live, ZenTV), and Liz Russo (The Tropicana, The Borgata, FOX Laughs). There is a $10 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: PATTI LUPONE - "THE LADY WITH THE TORCH"

Broadway's Patti LuPone returns to 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) for an extended run that begins on Thursday, April 2nd and extends to Tuesday, April 14th. Patti LuPone's appearances at 54 Below have already achieved the status of legend. The two-time Tony Award winner returns to 54 Below with her critically-acclaimed show The Lady with A Torch. LuPone performs an eclectic collection of torch songs by such composers and lyricists as Arthur Schwartz, Howard Dietz, Jule Styne, Sammy Cahn, Billy Barnes, Harold Arlen, George and Ira Gershwin, and Cole Porter. The show is conceived and directed by Scott Wittman, musical direction by Joseph Thalken, orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick and dialogue by Jeffrey Richman. Show dates and times are Thursday through Saturday, April 2nd through 4th at 7:00 pm; Monday through Saturday, April 6th through 11th at 7:00 pm; Monday & Tuesday, April 13th & 14th at 7:00 pm; with an additional late show on Saturday, April 11th at 9:30 pm. There is a $90-$155 cover plus a $30 food/drink minimum.

NYC: JACQUELINE PETROCCIA: SOMETIMES ... PATSY CLINE

Jacqueline Petroccia (Lincoln Center's Carousel and Sweeney Todd) takes you on a musical journey from Jersey girl to her surprise turn as the award-winning star of Always ... Patsy Cline at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Thursday, April 2nd at 9:30 pm. Petroccia has starred as Patsy in SIX successful productions of Always ... Patsy Cline across the USA, earning the Connecticut Critics Circle Award and the St. Louis BroadwayWorld Award. Her resume runs the gamut of musical genres from traditional musical theatre (The Producers) to opera (The Magic Flute), contemporary new works (Mob Wife) and everything in between. The evening will include songs from the Patsy Cline songbook, Broadway standards, contemporary musical theatre and much more! Featuring special guest Michael Mott! There is a $25-$60 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
