LONDON: CANTABILE - THE LONDON QUARTET AT THE CRAZY COQS
If it's Christmas, it's got to be CANTABILE - THE LONDON QUARTET who will return to THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888) on Saturday, December 27th and Monday & Tuesday, December 29th & 30th at 8:00 pm. Following their triumphant Crazy Coqs debut in April, "The Singers Most Songs Prefer" return with a programme packed with Christmas Crackers. The show will feature the London Quartet's trademark blend of harmony and hilarity and include classic Seasonal Favourites White Christmas, Sleigh Ride, Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire and Silent Night, as well as their side-splitting treatment of the Twelve Days of Christmas, the Festival of Carols (27 carols in two minutes) and Mud's Lonely This Christmas - and much more. The London Quartet has toured extensively worldwide, singing in the most prestigious venues for the most exclusive clientele, including Buckingham Palace and Carnegie Hall, New York. They released their 17th album, Songs of Love and War and, for the third year in succession, helped create a major festival in the beautiful city of Alba Iulia in Romania.
LONDON: THE POLKA DOTS AT THE PHEASANTRY
Take three sassy voices, arrange a collection of original and cover swing songs, add some sharp dance routines and you have The Polka Dots, who will be performing at THE PHEASANTRY (152-154 King's Road, London SW3 4UT - 08456 027 017) on Tuesday, December 30th at 8:30 pm. Together, the three girls bring you a modern quirky twist on the classic 1940s & '50s close harmony trio: from Glenn Miller and The Andrews Sisters to The Dots' unique swing arrangements of modern day hits.
