NYC: BEN RIMALOWER DEBUTS NEW PLAY "BAD WITH MONEY" 

Ben Rimalower debuts new play "Bad With Money" at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) running on Mondays at 7:00 pm through December 29th. Ben Rimalower's addiction to spending beyond his means has driven him to extreme lengths all his life. In BAD WITH MONEY he charts his sometimes hilarious, sometimes harrowing struggle to overcome his problem - or get rich trying. "Bad With Money" is written and performed by Ben Rimalower and directed by Aaron Mark. Rimalower's first solo show, the long-running hit Patti Issues, explored his obsession with Broadway diva Patti LuPone and his relationship with his troubled gay father. Bad with Money delves into even deeper personal territory with the story of his struggle with debt - a journey that takes him through drug addiction, prostitution, fraud and multiple betrayals. There is a $25-$50 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: CAROL DALY AT THE METROPOLITAN ROOM

Carol Daly will sing selections from the American Songbook and jazz classics with new arrangements and a fresh approach at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 - ) on Monday, decmber 29th at 7:00 pm. Accompanying Carol is Nathan Kaplan on Piano, Everett Boyd on Bass & Marc Copell on drums. Carol has performed in cabaret clubs, restaurants, culture festivals, artistic and community driven venues. For Carol, music is a passion and a healing art. She has integrated jazz, blues, pop and musical theatre in to her singing style and is described as a gifted singer with a mellifluous, warm resonance to her voice that comes straight from the heart. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: "54 SINGS JAMES TAYLOR" WITH STING

54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551 - ) presents "54 Sings James Taylor," a celebration of songs made famous by the iconic American singer-songwriter, on Monday, January 29th with performances at 7:00 & 9:30 pm. "54 Sings James Taylor" will feature some of Broadway's best singers, with 16-time Grammy Award winner Sting (The Last Ship), joining previously announced artists Sally Ann Triplett (The Last Ship), Nicholas Rodriguez (Tarzan), Charlie Pollock (Violet), Ryan Andes (Big Fish), Michael Winther (33 Variations), Karl Kenzler (You Can't Take It With You), and Zak Resnick (Piece of My Heart), T. Oliver Reid ("Peter Pan Live"), John Arthur Greene, and Zack Dobbins. Produced and directed by T. Oliver Reid, "54 Sings James Taylor" features musical direction by Mark Hartman, and musician Sean Harkness with John Miller and Warren Odze. There is a $35-$70 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
