NYC: "LOOK WHO'S IN LOVE," A CABARET CELEBRATION OF ROMANCE

On the heels of a successful run earlier this year, and as part of their ongoing one-year anniversary celebration, distinguished entertainers Christine Reisner-Rebic (an international cabaret chanteuse and dancer) and Don Rebic (Broadway and cabaret musical director and composer) return to THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Wednesday, October 15th & Sunday, October 19th, both shows at 7:00 pm. "Look Who's in Love" features their original songs as well as songs by veteran Broadway composer Albert Hague (Christine's uncle) and timeless jazzy standards by Irving Berlin, Jule Styne, Jimmy Van Heusen, Betty Comden and Adolph Green. "Look Who's in Love" celebrates the possibility of finding love at any stage of life, with amusing patter that describes the couple's courting days, which led to their partnership in music and in life. They will premiere three songs they composed together: "You're Making Me Nervous," "Two Heads Are Better Than One," and "Leap of Faith;" attendees will each receive a complimentary copy of their first CD single, "Two Heads Are Better Than One." Christine and Don will also share insider anecdotes from their showbiz careers, including how they were both influenced by Bob Fosse. There is a $20 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.

NYC: MARNIE KLAR'S 'HOME' RETURNS TO MAMA'S
MEMBER DISCOUNT - $5 OFF THE COVER

Vocalist Marnie Klar returns to DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Wednesday, October 15th at 7:00 pm and Wednesday, November 12th at 9:30 pm. The show features songs by The Bird & the Bee, Five for Fighting, Imagine Dragons, Led Zeppelin, the Lumineers, Ingrid Michaelson, Kylie Minogue, Sam Phillips, Regina Spektor & The White Stripes. Musical director is Steven Ray Watkins, with Matt Scharfglass on bass and Terese Genecco on percussion. Directed by Tanya Moberly. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum. $15 cover for members of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE.

NYC: BARRET IS BACK ON RESTAURANT ROW 

Chris Barrett returns to LA RIVISTA RISTORANTE (313 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-366-4603) on Monday, May 19th, where he will be at the piano Mondays through Wednesdays. There are two shows nightly, a dinner show at 8:00 and a supper show at 10:00 pm. Chris Barrett's performances are in the tradition of the great late-night boites of a fondly remembered era, when the likes of Hugh Shannon, Bobby Short, and Buddy Barnes manned the keyboard. There is no cover charge

NYC: HILARY KOLE AT CAFE NOCTAMBULO AT PANGEA

Jazz vocalist Hilary Kole can be found every Wednesday night from 7:00 to 11:00 pm at CAFE NOCTAMBULO AT PANGEA (178 Second Avenue, NYC - 212-995-0900), NYC's intimate downtown live music supper club. Long a beloved staple on the NYC jazz scene and world-renowned as a multi-faceted concert hall and symphony performer, Hilary Kole has emerged triumphantly from a difficult three-year legal struggle to put out a recording - and found her true musical heart in the process. On her new independent full-length album, the acclaimed vocalist and musician paints A Self-Portrait with illuminating stylistic brushstrokes and an expansive repertoire that takes her far beyond her storied roots as a purveyor of the Great American Songbook. Back, better than ever and baring her jazz and pop soul like never before, Hilary celebrates life free of limitations and full of optimism. There is a $20 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.

NYC: MAXINE LINEHAN: BEAUTIFUL SONGS

After a critically acclaimed run of her solo show An American Journey, Maxine Linehan will next present Beautiful Songs at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Wednesdays in October, the 1st, 8th, 8th, & 15th at 7:00 pm and the 22nd at 9:30 pm. This new show was created and directed for Maxine by Scott Siegel. This brand new show will be an exploration of what makes a song not just pretty, but beautiful. Singing songs from a wide variety of genres from Broadway, folk, pop, and beyond, the critically acclaimed Maxine Linehan will give audiences a rare hour filled with beauty created from irresistible melodies, with elegant and incisive lyrics. Beauty, of course, is in the eyes (and the ears) of the beholder, so you are invited to come and behold Beautiful Songs. Maxine made her professional debut with The Irish Operatic Repertory Company at age 17. In 2009 she created and performed a cabaret act as a tribute to Petula Clark, which later led to an independent studio album. Most recently, Maxine performed a sold out run of her solo show An American Journey both at Birdland and at Terminus Recording Studios in Times Square. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum. 

NYC: REV. YOLANDA'S OLD TIME GOSPEL HOUR

Rev. Yolanda's Old Time Gospel Hour returns to THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Wednesday, October 15th at 6:30 pm. Starring Rev. Yolanda and Kenneth Gartman the show is described as "A Gender Bending Gospel Celebration for the New Thought Generation." This show takes a musical tour of Rev. Yolanda's transformational spiritual journey from a gospel music loving Alabama gay boy, to a Radical Faerie, Rock & Roll, GLBT Hall of Fame Transgender Warrior, to a New Thought Interspiritual Drag Queen Reverend. Directed by Rev. Shawn Moninger, the show features Rev. Roger Anthony Yolanda Mapes on vocals and acoustic guitar; Kenneth Gartman, Musical Director/ Arrangements, piano, vocals.There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: SIERRA BOGGESS RETURNS TO 54 BELOW

Broadway's Sierra Boggess returns to 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Wednesday through Saturday, October 15th through 18th at 7:00 pm with an additional late show on the 17th at 9:30 pm. Broadway knows her as Ariel in The Little Mermaid, Christine Daae in The Phantom of the Opera and as aspiring opera star Sharon Graham in Master Class. London knows her for her Olivier Award-nominated performance in Love Never Dies and Fantine in Les Miserables. After the success of her solo show Awakening debuted at 54 Below last year, she now returns with a show exploring her life as the middle child, always trying to find balance in the "in between"! It is in that balancing act that we begin to ask the questions and look for growth! Through song, stories and her favorite quotes we will "Find the Balance" together! There is a $55-$75 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum. 

NYC: 54 BELOW PRESENTS MARGO SEIBERT

Margo Seibert returns to 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) with her new show 'Busy Being Free' on Wednesday, October 15th at 9:30 pm. This season, she has made her debut on the Great White Way singing the music of Ahrens & Flaherty in ROCKY as well as giving a tour-de-force (and Drama Desk-nominated) performance in the original musical, Tamar of the River. For Margo, this has been a season of rapid growth and discovery. Across the board, she has been recognized for her depth of character and nuanced vocal performance. In 'Busy Being Free', joined by songwriter Jahn Sood, musical director Chris Fenwick and an excellent ensemble of musicians including Jeremy Yaddaw, Alan Stevens Hewitt and Ben Golder-Novick, Margo will share the music that inspires her, tickles her, and speaks to this moment of finding herself in New York. There is a $25-$35 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.

NYC: MOLLY RINGWALD MAKES CAFE CARLYLE DEBUT

Singer/actress Molly Ringwald will make her Cafe Carlyle debut in 'An Evening with Molly Ringwald' at THE CAFE CARLYLE (35 East 76th Street, NYC - 212-744-1600) on Tuesday through Saturday, October 7th through 18th at 8:45 pm with an additional show on Saturdays at 10:45 pm. Ringwald, who got her start in the iconic John Hughes films The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles and Pretty In Pink, has since become an accomplished stage actress, writer and jazz singer. She has starred in Broadway productions of the Pulitzer Prize-winning How I Learned to Drive; the revival of Cabaret; Tony-nominated Enchanted April and the West End production of When Harry Met Sally. She will perform songs from the Great American Songbook and Ringwald's acclaimed album, Except Sometimes and will be joined by her musical director and pianist Peter Smith (all dates except October 9 where he will be substituted by Laurence Hobgood) and Trevor Ware on bass. There is a $50-115 cover.
