Paul Wingo will celebrate the release of his new CD at BLUES ALLEY (1073 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC - 202-337-4141) on Monday, March 3rd with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. Wingo started playing guitar at age 11. At 16, he began his studies with "Red" Dwyer and George Fitzgerald, and he attended the University of Maryland from 1964 to 1968. After college, he was a full time working musician, both teaching and performing. He continued to study, taking lessons from Billy Gibson, Frank Mullen, Howard Roberts, and Joe Pass. In 1976 he attended the Creative Music Studio in Woodstock, New York, and from 1980 to 1992 he studied with Dr. Asher Zlotnik. Paul was a member of the Army Blues Band for 6 years, during which time he often played at the White House and the Vice President's residence. Call for cover/minimum information.

D.C.: THE BOHEMIAN CAVERNS JAZZ ORCHESTRA MONDAYS

The Bohemian Caverns Jazz Orchestra performs every Monday night at BOHEMIAN CAVERNS (2001 Eleventh Street N.W., Washington, DC - 202-299-0800) with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. Still the Hottest Big Band in the City, The Bohemian Caverns Jazz Orchestra is a 17 piece powerhouse force cofounded by baritone saxophonist Brad Linde, trumpeter Joe Herrera and club owner Omrao Brown. The BCJO presents a variety of music from big band literature and features some of the District's best musicians. Music from Ellington, Basie, Strayhorn, Thad Jones, Oliver Nelson, Maria Schneider and originals by band members will embrace and challenge the tradition of big band repertoire. BOSTON: FIRST MONDAYS AT CLUB CAFE WITH PAMELA ENDERS

John O'Neil presents Pamela Enders with Bill Duffy on piano at THE NAPOLIAN ROOM AT CLUB CAFE(209 Columbus Avenue, Boston, MA - 617-536-0966) on Monday, March 3rd at 7:30 pm. The first Monday of every month Boston's best theater professionals and tomorrow's rising stars sing Jazz, Broadway and madcap cabaret. Pamela proclaims that other singers have been her best teachers and she has been strongly influenced by an eclectic group of performers including Ethel Merman, the early Barbra Streisand, Judy Garland, Billy Holiday, Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Carmen McRae, and Frank Sinatra plus contemporaries such as Rebecca Parris, Wesla Whitfield, Carol Sloane, and Dee Dee Bridgewater. Dinner seating starts at 7:00 pm. Reservations are strongly recommended. Call for cover/minimum information.

LOS ANGELES: KRITZERLAND: THE PRINCE AND THE SHOWTUNE: A TRIBUTE TO HAROLD PRINCE

Kritzerland Upstairs at Sterling's presents "The Prince and the Showtune: A Tribute To Harold Prince" on Monday, March 3rd at 8:00 pm at STERLING'S AT THE FEDERAL (5303 Lankershim Boulevard, North Hollywood, CA - 818-754-8700), As always, the cast includes some of the best voices in town, including Josh Grisetti, Jean Louisa Kelly, Ashley Fox Linton, Jenna Lea Rosen, Sami Staitman, and Robert Yacko. Special Guest: Terri White. 43rd Kritzerland show is a tribute to the amazing Harold Prince, whose career has spanned over sixty years and who, as producer and/or director is responsible for some of the greatest musical theater triumphs of all time. Mr. Prince just celebrated his 86th birthday, so what better time to celebrate his legacy. They have assembled an amazing cast to sing songs from Damn Yankees, The Pajama Game, She Loves Me, Company, Sweeney Todd, Flora, The Red Menace, A Little Night Music, Merrily We Roll Along, Cabaret, Zorba, On the Twentieth Century and more - and, as always, you'll hear a few things you might not know.
