NYC: SCOTT SIEGEL'S BROADWAY BALLYHOO WEDNESDAYS

The Broadway Ballyhoo returns this Wednesday atTHE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) in an open-ended run that will play every Wednesday night at 10:30 pm. The Ballyhoo features a different musical revue, with new stars and different great show tunes, every single week! Scott Siegel hosts. Ian Herman is the Musical Director. The lineup this week stars Baby Jane Dexter and Christine Pedi. There is a $25 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.

NYC: FROM BOOK TO BROADWAY AT THE DUPLEX

"From Book to Broadway" presents the best new voices New York has to offer at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Wednesday, February 19th at 7:00 pm. This performance features the talents of Mackenzie Barmen, Melissa D'Anna, Megan Jacobson, Nathan Keep, Nicole Loewenstein, Elora Rosch and Christine Zavakos. Music Director: Andrew Sotomayor; Director: Lisa Moss. Each performer selects one song from their audition "Book," and one song from a their dream "Broadway" or "Off-Broadway" show. Hosted by New York's own, Comedian Maribeth Mooney. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: TISH RABE AND FRIENDS

Tish Rabe and Friends will perform at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Wednesday, February 19th at 7:00 pm. They are a jazz quartet headlined by Tish Rabe, a graduate of Ithaca College School of Music with a degree in Vocal Performance, who sings classic and contemporary jazz favorites by Natalie Cole, Diana Krall and Michael Buble. The band recently performed to a sell-out crowd at The Side Door Jazz Club and Ms. Rabe sings as a guest artist at local jazz festivals. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: JACQUES BREL RETURNS

The Music Of Brel, Blau, Shuman and Jouannest en Cabaret will be presented at STAGE 72 (158 West 72nd Street, NYC - 212-362-2590) on Wednesday, February 29th at 8:00 pm. Presented by Dan Whitten, Mark Beigelman, Peter Martin and Tiger Theatricals, 'Jacques Brel RETURNS•' is a new cabaret production featuring highlights from 'Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris' as well as Brel songs not in the original score. The rotating cast includes PJ Baccari, Anna Bergman, Sarah Bierstock, Robert Cuccioli, Natascia Diaz, Rodney Hicks, Arlo Hill, Sam Ludwig, Marissa Mulder, Ereni Sevasti, Jim Stanek, and David Wolfson. Created by Dan Whitten and Mark Beigelman, who produced the hit revival and CD in 2006/2007, and featuring musical direction by Rick Hip-Flores, the evening features Jacques Brel favorites including "Carousel," "My Childhood," "If We Only Have Love," "Ne Me Quitte Pas," "The Bulls," "Jackie," "Amsterdam" and "I Loved."There is a $30-$40 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: SOLEDAD BARRIO & NOCHE FLAMENCA AT JOE'S PUB

The world-renowned Soledad Barrio & Noche Flamenca celebrates 15 years at JOE'S PUB at THE PUBLIC THEATRE (425 Lafayette Street, NYC - 212-967-7555) with a career retrospective that features the company's best-known works as well as selections from Antigona, a brand new piece commissioned by Joe's Pub as part of the New York Voices series. Performances are Tuesday through Saturday, February 18th through 22nd at 7:00 & 9:30 pm, with an additional performance on Saturday the 22nd at 2:00 pm. Noche Flamenca was founded by artistic director Martin Santangelo and his Bessie award-winning wife Soledad Barrio. Writing in the New York Times, the chief dance critic Alastair Macaulay has called Barrio "an intensely dramatic dancer", noting that her skilled footwork expresses "the brilliance and color of flamenco rhythm". Although deeply rooted in the beautiful Flamenco culture of Madrid, Noche Flamenca's authentic gypsy heritage was reborn in New York City. The company maintains the essence, purity and integrity of one of the world's most complex and mysterious art forms, creating powerful performances that radiate off the Joe's Pub stage. "There is an intimacy we can achieve in terms of the work, the audience, the partnership, at Joe's Pub which could not exist anywhere else," said Santangelo. Call for cover/minimum information.

NYC: DINE & DANCE WITH VINCE GIORDANO AND THE NIGHTHAWKS - NOW AT THE IGUANA

Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks are back - and now will play every Monday & Tuesday night from 8:00 to 11:00 pm at at IGUANA'S VIP LOUNGE (240 West 54th Street, NYC - 212-765-5454). Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks is an eleven-piece band playing music of the 1920s & 30s for your dining and dancing pleasure. In 1976 Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks (originally known as the New Orleans Nighthawks) was formed. A big-band historian and collector, Giordano has more than 60,000 scores in his collection. There is a $15 cover (at the door) plus a $15 food drink minimum.
