FLORIDA: JOHN PIZZARELLI & BUCKY PIZZARELLI AT THE ROYAL ROOM

John Pizzarelli & Bucky Pizzarelli return to THE ROYAL ROOM at THE COLONY HOTEL (155 Hammond Avenue, Palm Beach, FL - 561-659-8100) on Tuesday through Saturday, February 4th through 8th at 8:30 pm with a second show on Saturday, the 8th at 10:30 pm. John Pizzarelli has had a multi-faceted career as a jazz guitarist, vocalist and bandleader. Internationally known for classic standards, late-night ballads, and the cool jazz flavor he brings to his performances and recordings. Following in the tradition of his father, guitar legend Bucky Pizzarelli, he has recorded as a bandleader for RCA, Chesky, Stash and Novus, and in 1997 appeared in the Broadway musical Dream, a revue of Johnny Mercer songs. Pizzarelli is among the prime contemporary interpreters of the great American songbook, bringing to the work his signature style and brilliant guitar playing. He has been featured on major recordings along with artists such as James Taylor, Natalie Cole, Rosemary Clooney, Donna Summer and Roberta Flack, and has performed numerous times on the country's most popular national television shows such as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Show with David Letterman and Live With Regis & Kelly. Pizzarelli continues to tour throughout the United States, Europe and Japan, performing classic pop, jazz and swing, while setting the standard for stylish modern jazz. Several years ago, Pizzarelli became the 11th artist to receive the Ella Fitzgerald Award at Montreal's Festival of Jazz. Bucky Pizzarelli (John's dad) is a legendary jazz guitarist and banjo player, who has worked with everyone from Benny Goodman to Dick Cavett. He started his career with the Vaughn Monroe dance band back in 1944, and later became a member of the house band of The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. In 2005, he was inducted into the ASCAP Jazz Wall of Fame. $125-$335 for prix fixe dinner & show; $55-$65 for show only.

LOS ANGELES: DENISE MORGAN AT THE GARDENIA

Denise Morgan performs at THE GARDENIA (7066 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA - 323-467-7444) on Friday & Saturday, February 7th & 8th at 9:00 pm. Denise studied performing arts, classical vocals, and acting at LACC, USC, and the Inner City Cultural Center in Los Angeles, and has performed with many gospel choirs and groups. She made her solo jazz debut in 2010. She continues to study voice with Howlett Smith, and is a member of his World Stage Jazz Workshop in Leimert Park. She has sung with the Angel City Chorale and in Gustav Mahler's Symphony #8 with the LA Philharmonic under the direction of Gustavo Dudamel. She returns to the Gardenia after her debut last fall. SAN FRANCISCO: DUNCAN SHEIK AT YOSHI'S

GRAMMY and 2-time Tony Award winner, composer of Spring Awakening Duncab Sheik will perform at YOSHI'S(1330 Fillmore Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-655-5600) on Saturday, February 8th with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. After breaking through in the late '90s with his Top 20 single "Barely Breathing," Duncan Sheik spent much of the subsequent decade taking a breather from the usual rock singer/songwriter rituals. His focus was on albums that broke with pop music conventions and, additionally, theatrical musicals like Spring Awakening, the Broadway sensation. There is a $21-$34 cover.

SAN FRANCISCO: SINGER/SONGWRITER JOHN BUCCHINO AT FEINSTEIN'S

Singer/songwriter John Bucchino will perform at FEINSTEIN'S AT THE NIKKO (222 Mason Street, San Francisco, CA - 866-663-1063) for one night only, on Saturday, February 8th at 7:00 pm. Bucchino's songs have been performed and recorded by renowned pop (Art Garfunkel, Judy Collins), theatre (Liza Minnelli, Patti LuPone, Kristin Chenoweth, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Audra McDonald), cabaret (Barbara Cook, Michael Feinstein), and classical (Yo-Yo Ma, Deborah Voight, Nathan Gunn) artists as well as The Boston Pops, the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in venues including Carnegie Hall, The Metropolitan Opera, The Hollywood Bowl, The Kennedy Center, The Sydney Opera House, London's O2 Arena and The White House. San Francisco audiences will have a rare opportunity to hear Bucchino perform his songs in an intimate setting, and share stories of what inspired them. Buchhino will be joined by two guest singers: Nanci Zoppi and Maggie Hollinbeck. There is a $25-$35 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.

SAN FRANCISCO: MY FAVORITE THINGS: AN EVENING WITH G. SCOTT LACY

Award Winning Musical Director and Performer, G. Scott Lacy, will present his show My Favorite Things at SOCIETY CABARET AT THE HOTEL REX (562 Sutter Street, San Francisco, CA 94102 - 800-982-2787 - ) on Saturday, February 8th at 8:00 pm. G. Scott Lacy is one the country's most sought after talents. He has musical directed over 150 productions working with such theatre companies as the Tony Award Winning La Jolla Playhouse, the award winning Lamb's Players Theatre, the Musical Theatre Guild of Los Angeles, Diversionary Theatre, New Conservatory Theatre, Diablo Theatre Company, 42nd Street Moon, San Diego Repertory Theatre, San Diego Opera, North Coast Repertory Theatre, the Emmy Award Winning Malashock Dance Company and many others. Mr. Lacy was honored with the 2009 Bay Area Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Musical Direction for his work on Dames At Sea at NCTC in San Francisco.
