NYC: GORDON BAHARY RELEASES UNBREAKABLE CD
Songwriter, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Gordon Bahary will celebrate the release of his CD "Unbreakable" at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Wednesday, October 24th at 9:30 pm. Bahary has had a remarkable career. He started working with Stevie Wonder doing synthesizer and production work at the age of 15, and then on the classic "Secret Life of Plants" album three years later; by age 23 his "Electric Kingdom" release (under the artist name Twilight 22) sold over 7 million copies and pioneered electro-hip hop. Bahary has worked closely with a range of artists from Ramsey Lewis and Herbie Hancock to Raven-Symone and filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola. On his recent debut CD, Unbreakable, Bahary returns to his creative roots, crafting an album steeped in pop and jazz with universal themes. Unbreakable (Lasting Treasure/Sony Music/RED) is the culmination of a lifetime's worth of creativity and innovation from an artist who has quietly built a huge and devoted fanbase. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
