Al Fischer breaks new ground in the world of cabaret with his solo debut show, "Breaking the Rules" at KRANZBERG ART CENTER STUDIO THEATRE (501 North Grand Street, St. Louis, MO - 314-795-8778) on Friday & Saturday, October 26th & 27th at 8:00 pm. As Artistic Director of the Gateway Men's Chorus and a favorite Music Director for St. Louis's vibrant cabaret community, Al knows The Rules of cabaret performance inside and out. Who better to break them all than him? Closing number? Let's open with it! A solo show? Let's get a guest star! That cabaret fortune? Let's make this a benefit for the Gateway Men's Chorus! This wildly inventive and wonderfully entertaining show features many songs that are familiar ("Secret Agent Man," "You Can Call Me Al"), and some that are completely new ("Knitting Needles," "Lettie the Lesbian"), because Al wrote them!
