NYC: COOKIE STARK: "READY OR NOT"
Cookie Stark takes the stage of the THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909 ) on Sunday, November 13th at 4:00 pm with her show "Ready or Not", to debut a wealth of new material and to demonstrate once again why each person who hears her is captivated by her story-telling and the wealth of life-experience she brings to the cabaret stage. Stark has appeared as a special guest in venues all around NYC (including the Oak Room of the Algonquin, Concerts at Tudor City Greens, Cabaret Cares Gala) and in her first full evening, "Presenting Cookie Stark" at Don't Tell Mama. With songs ranging from Stephen Sondheim's "Children and Art" to her signature song, Rodgers & Hart's "The Lady is a Tramp," Cookie is back with some serious stuff ... and some real sass. She is joined by special guest, Broadway's Melanie Vaughan. There is a $20 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.
