NYC: BARBARA MALLEY IN "I REMEMBER BROOKLYN"

Barbara Malley brings her show I REMEMBER BROOKLYN to the THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE(407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Sunday, November 13th at 1:00 pm. Directed by Barry Kleinbort the show features guest appearances by Ginnie and Tim Bailey, Tom and Eliot Smith and Jerry Saunders. Musical Director is David Gaines. In the show, the borough of Brooklyn is celebrated in song and story. Starting when, at age 13, she was assigned to direct her eighth grade assembly, Barbara has been has never lost her love to perform. Talent show competitions, singing in choirs and glee clubs, writing skits, acting in local plays, then classes at HB Studio, Weist-Barron and the 92 St. Y. Barbara made her cabaret debut at Laurie Beechman and has also had shows at Don't Tell Mama. Singing has remained her primary love, but comedy and improv as well as on-camera commercials and voice overs occupy much of her time. There is a $20 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum. The proceeds of this show will go to The Jackie Robinson Foundation Leadership and Mentoring Program.
