NYC: THE FOLLEN ANGELS ARE HEADING TO NYC!
International jazz and cabaret recording artists, The Follen Angels, return to the renownedDON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) for one joyous evening with their dynamic new show "ELLA AND HER FELLAS" on Thursday, May 5th at 9:15 pm. The Angels have filled concert halls and radio airwaves, and continue to draw enthusiastic audiences from Scullers Jazz Club in Boston, to Mechanics Hall in Worchester, to the Metropolitan Room in New York City, and to sharing the stage with HBO Comedian, Lewis Black. The Follen Angels recently released their new CD, "I Got Rhythm: In Love with Gershwin and Cole Porter". The Angel's new show, "Ella and Her Fellas" pulls out all the stops by channeling the spirit, elegance and fun of America's "First Lady of Song", Miss Ella Fitzgerald. The music and the friendship she shared with Louis Armstrong, Sinatra and Duke Ellington is highlighted in this loving homage to the lady, her pals and some of the greatest jazz standards ever written. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
