NYC: ANDREA WOLFF IN "LOOSE SCREWS" AT THE BEECHMAN
Veteran actress, singer and comedienne Andrea Wolff will star in "Loose Screws," an original musical comedy beginning on Friday, May 6th at 7:00 pm at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE(407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909). Directed by Dennis Deal with a book and score drawing from material from Broadway musicals and original songs written & composed by Jeff Halpern and Mr. Deal, Loose Screws will open on May 9th and play a limited engagement on Fridays, Saturdays, and Mondays thru June 4th. Backed by a three-piece band (guitars, Jim Gately; drums & percussion, Eric Halvorson; keyboard, Mr. Halpern) and two back-up singers/actors, Leisa Mather and Jeanne Montano (both Forbidden Broadway alumna). Loose Screws has adult content and is recommended for Mature Audiences only. Loose Screws is the fictional and risque biographical journey of also-ran entertainer named Chelsea Sutton Place. Through hilarious flashbacks, Chelsea shares her rise from down' dirty Hell's Kitchen dives, to X rated movie stardom, through Studio 54 era debauchery and ultimately, the melt-down of a country western singer (Miss Pixie Dickler) with multiple personality disorders, and her triumphant rehab comeback!
