NYC: THE FUNNY JAZZ CHICKS "DIVE" INTO THE BLUES?
Starting on Friday, February 11th, Joan Crowe and Sue Matsuki will be performing every Friday night at PORT 41 (355 West 41st Street, NYC - 212-244-4408) from 9:00 pm to 1:00 am). The pair will be singing whatever they feel like: A mix of blues, rock, pop, jazz, country, swing, even a tragic ballad or two. They have a great band with to back them up: Janice Freedman at the piano, Joe Henderson on Guitar, Jeff Phillips on Bass, Keith Crupi on drums. Plus, the lovely Barmaids wear Bikinis! The club is located just off Ninth Avenue just a few feet from the Port Authority Building and features live music several nights a week. There is no cover charge.
