BIRD'S NEST JAZZ at WATERPARK LOFTS (2875 Glascock Street #109, Oakland, CA - 510-534-6163) presents jazz in an intimate setting the last Sunday of the month from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Seating is first come, first served. This month the event is being held early because of the booking of a special guest. On Sunday, October 10th, the club will present BBC Award winning singer Anita Wardell, who flies in from london to sing at the Bird's Nest Jazz Party! She will be joined by David Udolf - Piano, Dean Riley - Bass and Wally Schnalle - Drums. Anita Wardell is a true jazz messenger. Her singing is exciting and breath-taking. Born in the UK, raised in Australia and now based in London, she is noted for her captivating vocal improvisations and vocalese lyrics to instrumental solos.
