SAN FRANCISCO, CA: ENGLISH SONGBIRD, •JULIA FORDHAM, FOR ONE PERFORMANCE ONLY!

FEINSTEIN'S AT THE NIKKO (222 Mason Street, San Francisco, CA - 866-663-1063) welcomes English songbird, Julia Fordham for one performance only on Thursday, June 18th at 8:00 pm. Celebrating the 25th anniversary of her landmark album, "Porcelain," Fordham will perform the album in its entirety. Accompanied by her long- time pianist and album producer Grant Mitchell, they will also perform some of her other hits along with a few surprises. Julia Fordham's remarkable singing and heartfelt compositions make her a unique voice and talent of breathtaking diversity. From 1988's "Happy Ever After" - her first release and an international hit - to her most recent, "The Language of Love," these extraordinary characteristics are etched indelibly throughout Julia's musical career. Produced and arranged by Julia's long- time collaborator, pianist and musician extraordinaire, Grant Mitchell, "The Language of Love," is a jazz album featuring covers of songs that were also hits on the Japanese charts. Supported by an outstanding ensemble of leading Los Angeles musicians and Latin jazz aficionados, this seductive collection includes swing, bossa nova and traditional trio interpretations of familiar chart- toppers. "The Language of Love" also debuts two original songs written by Julia, "Like You Used To Do" and "The Morning After (The Night With You)," and includes a new World Music - flavored rendition of "Happy Ever After." The original version was a #1 hit in Japan. At age 14, Julia started writing songs and playing them in local folk clubs. Soon after, she was invited to be a guest singer with NYJO (the National Youth Jazz Orchestra in the UK) which sparked a lifelong love of the genre. On her highly acclaimed second album, "Porcelain," two original jazz songs "For You, Only For You" and "China Blue" were featured along with the hits "Manhattan Skyline" and "Lock and Key." This year marked the 25th anniversary of the release of "Porcelain." Julia celebrated by touring the UK for a month of sold out shows. In 1992, "Love Moves" (from her third album "Swept"), was chosen as the theme song for "The Butcher's Wife," starring Demi Moore. A big hit in both the UK and US, it also reached the #1 slot in the Philippines. Her 10th album, "China Blue," is a collection of original jazz compositions, except for one song: a reinterpretation of Michael McDonald's "I Keep Forgetting" with Michael himself contributing his amazing vocals. Tickets for Julia Fordham range in price from $35-$50 and are on- sale now and available by calling 866-663-1063 or visiting http://www.ticketweb.com . There is a $20 food/drink minimum.

She recently made her European debut in a concert tour throughout Poland. This concert highlighted the works of contemporary and traditional musical theater, and she was accompanied by a full symphony orchestra. Additionally, she recently recorded her first album, "Broadway After Midnight" released in Poland in March 2012. Melanie made her Carnegie Hall debut in December 2011. She recently joined the New York Choral Society which has led to other similar endeavors, with Carnegie Hall being a major highlight. This was one of many concerts performed in New York this season with the New York Choral Society, and Melanie is looking forward to many more. Music has always been the breath of life for Melanie. From a very young age, everyone around her noticed that she had a special gift, and so she began to cultivate it at the age of 8. She started with piano lessons, and naturally excelled in music. She had a knack for all sides of music and entertaining. At the age of 10, she auditioned for an exclusive group called Marywood College Children's Choir. Coming from a one-stoplight town, she was up against all the "city" girls of Scranton, PA. She sang her first solo with this group, and from that moment on, she knew she belonged on a stage. In high school, she competed statewide at PMEA music festivals and was awarded first place soprano in the entire state - the biggest achievement she'd made up to that point. Soon after, she was admitted into Carnegie Mellon University. After graduating with the highest honors, Melanie spent the summer studying opera in Italy. This led her to make her operatic debut as the prize role of "Nannetta" in Falstaff at the Crested Butte Music Festival. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: KAREN OBERLIN: HIS AIM IS TRUE; THE SINGULAR SONGS OF ELVIS COSTELLO

Karen Oberlin,a fan of Elvis Costello since her early teens, when his young angst, disillusionment and vulnerable heart seemed perfectly in synch with her own, brings her show "His Aim Is True: The Singular Songs Of Elvis Costello' to STAGE 72 (158 West 72nd Street, NYC - 212-362-2590) on Thursdays, June 4th, 18th & 25th at 7:00 pm. SAN DIEGO, CA: BENEDETTO BLESSED WITH RUSS LORENSON

The best is yet to come as singer & recording artist (and San Diego native) Russ Lorenson honors an American music icon, Tony Bennett, the man whom Frank Sinatra called "the best singer in the business." at MARTINI'S ABOVE FOURTH (3940 4th Avenue, San Diego, CA - 619-400-4500) on Thursday, June 18th at 8:00 pm. The world knows him as Tony Bennett, but his birth name - Benedetto - means "blessed", an accurate adjective to describe both the man and his fans. Newly updated for 2015, the show also features Mr. Bennett's latest partnership with the incomparable Lady Gaga! In honor - not impersonation - Russ will perform an array of the crooner's hits in the warm and husky style of the star, and tell the story of this amazing artist's life. He is joined by guest performer Ria Carey. Russ Lorenson, "San Francisco's Favorite Crooner," has established a reputation as one of the San Francisco Bay Area's leading interpreters of jazz standards, with a sound and approach that place him at the intersection of Broadway, jazz, and pop - the very essence of the Great American Songbook. Nominated for a 2007 MAC Award by the Manhattan Association of Cabarets, Russ Lorenson's passion for the stage started as a youngster, with a performing career that began at age seven in his home town of Philadelphia. As an actor he has appeared in award-winning musical productions with theatre companies throughout the US, and has toured with the National Theatre for Children. As a vocalist he has toured the US, UK and Europe, appearing in concert with such luminaries as Broadway stars Teri Ralston (Company, A Little Night Music, The Baker's Wife), Karen Mason (Hairspray, Mamma Mia, Sunset Boulevard) and Dale Kristien (Phantom of the Opera), Andrea Marcovicci, Wesla Whitfield, and as the opening act for the legendary Eartha Kitt. Lorenson is best known for his critically-acclaimed tributes to two American musical icons, Tony Bennett and Bobby Darin. His one-man celebrations of the lives and music of these two greats have played to sold-out audiences across the US. His two CDs have received extensive radio airplay in major markets across the US and both CDs were included on the Nominating Ballot for the 2006 Grammy Awards in the category of "Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album" alongside such artists as Tony Bennett, Michael Buble, and John Pizzarelli. There is a $20-$25 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.
