NYC: BABY JANE DEXTER: ENCORE PERFORMANCES OF HIT SHOW "IT'S PERSONAL"
THE METRO-POLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) presents the Grande Dame of Cabaret, Baby Jane Dexter, with enclore performances of her hit show "It's Personal" Dexter again teams up with her long-time music director, Ross Patterson. Performances are scheduled for Sarturday & Sunday, November 26th & 27th at 7:00 pm; and Fridays, December 9th & 16th at 7:00 pm. This year's MAC Lifetime Achievement Award winner again dedicates her show to her personal friend, the late Julie Wilson, the previously long-reigning Grande Dame of clubdom. The show features compelling and profound songs from legends Cy Coleman, Peggy Lee and Cole Porters, to other legends like John Lennon and Sir Paul McCartney, to other greats like Felix Cavalierre, Billy Roy and not a few surprises. The recipient of seven major MAC Awards, two Nightlife Awards, and two Back Stage Bistro Awards, Dexter has performed at an endless array of major venues throughout the country, including Reno Sweeney, The Ballroom, Eighty Eight's, Blues Alley, The Kennedy Center and Weill Recital Hall. The Metropolitan Room has been her NY base of operations from the beginning. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: MARY FOSTER CONKLIN HOSTS FM RADIO SHOW - SUNDAYS ON THE WEB - NOVEMBER 20th
Jazz/cabaret vocalist Mary Foster Conklin continues on WFDU 89.1 FM, hosting a weekly show every Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 pm (Eastern Time), streaming on their HD2 channel, Jazz and What's More. You can find it on the internet at http://www.wfdu.fm - and clicking on the "Listen to HD2" button. You'll be given a player for your device and will hear the channel instantly. There's also a free app you can download for both iPhone and Android. The program is called "A Broad Spectrum" and offers up an assortment of music by Women Who Inspire - Writers, Composers, Instrumentalists and Vocalists (there will be airplay of male artists too, in the Honorable Men-tion slot).
