NYC: MARY FOSTER CONKLIN HOSTS NEW FM RADIO SHOW SUNDAYS - ALSO ON THE WEB

Jazz/cabaret vocalist Mary Foster Conklin has announced her debut on WFDU 89.1 FM, hosting a weekly show every Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 pm (Eastern Time), streaming on their HD2 channel, Jazz and What's More. The show began it's run on Sunday, March 5th. Yu can find it on the internet at http://www.wfdu.fm - and clicking on the "Listen to HD2" button. You'll be given a player for your device and will hear the channel instantly. There's also a free app you can download for both iPhone and Android. The program is called "A Broad Spectrum" and offers up an assortment of music by Women Who Inspire - Writers, Composers, Instrumentalists and Vocalists (there will be airplay of male artists too, in the Honorable Men-tion slot). NYC: SALON RETURNS - THEME FOR THE EVENING: "TEAMWORK" - APRIL 10th

SALON - that unique, multiple award winning, Weekly Open Mic Event, created and hosted by Mark Janas will return to ETCETERA ETCETERA (352 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-399-4141) on Sunday, April 10th, from 7:00-10:30 pm. (Sign-Up Begins at 6:15.) The optional theme for the evening is "Teamwork". Remember, any material, on or off theme, is always welcome at Salon. Co-Hosts will be Salon Charter Members Kristin Maloney & Adam McDonald! The Salon events are produced by Tanya Moberly. Salon is an ongoing open entertainment event in which singers, writers and musicians share their talent with each other and audience members. There are no reservations; seating is on a first come/ first served basis. All types of material, on or off theme are always welcome at Salon. They enthusiastically welcome instrumentalists, poets, playwrights, essayists, comics, illusionists and performance artists. Please limit your selections to three or four minutes in length (including introductions). Please also bring clear, complete charts for the accompanist to read. There is a $10 cash cover collected at the door and a $15 food/drink minimum (cash or credit) per person. NOTE: THERE IS NO SALON EVENT ON SUNDAY, MARCH 27th.

NYC: CELIA BERK RELEASES MANHATTAN SERENADE - PERFORMANCES EVERY SUNDAY IN APRIL AT THE METROPOLITAN ROOM

Celebrating the release of her highly anticipated second album, Manhattan Serenade, muli-Award Winner Celia Berk returns to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) every Sunday in April, 2016. Performance dates and times are April 3rd at 7:00 pm, April 10th at 4:00 pm, April 17th at 7:00 pm, and April 24th at 4:00 pm with a new show featuring songs from the album. It is directed by Jeff Harnar with musical direction by Alex Rybeck. The album, to be released on April 1st, follows Celia Berk's critically acclaimed debut You Can't Rush Spring. It is Co-Produced by Tony Award-winning sound designer Scott Lehrer and renowned arranger and musical director Alex Rybeck. Nominated for the 2015 LaMott/ Friedman Award for Best Recording, Celia Berk's debut album You Can't Rush Spring appeared on a number of Best of 2014 lists and has found a global audience, with airplay and sales extending across the US and into Europe, Japan, Australia and Canada. Celia has made memorable appearances at Jazz at Lincoln Center and The Town Hall as part of the Mabel Mercer Foundation's annual Cabaret Convention and will appear again in October 2016 in an evening devoted to Stephen Sondheim. There is a $24 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: THOSE GIRLS ARE COMING TO THE BEACHMAN

Those Girls (Eve Eaton, Rachel Hanser, Karen Mack, & Wendy Russell) debut at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Sunday, April 10th at 3:00 pm. Additional performances are scheduled for Wednesdays, April 13th, 20th & 27th, all shows at 7:00 pm. Together with Director, Lennie Watts and Music Director, Steven Ray Watkins, Those Girls have come up with new, unusual, fun arrangements - and there is something for everyone! Featured are Ted Stafford on Guitar and Donna Kelly on Percussion. There is a $20 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.
