BREAKING NEWS - NYC: BUZZ, SON OF A BEE ... AN ACTOR'S LIFE FOR ME - APRIL 16th

BREAKING NEWS - NYC: BUZZ, SON OF A BEE ... AN ACTOR'S LIFE FOR ME - APRIL 16th

Vampingo Productions has announced that it will present a condensed (75-minute) presentation of 'Buzz ... Son of a Bee', a new musical comedy spotlighting the actor's life at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM(34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Saturday, April 16th at 9:30 pm. The show features a book by Andrew Johns, lyrics by Ariana Johns and music by Darryl Curry. The quest for a plot. The glamour of desperation. A tale of Love and Honey. 'BUZZ, Son of a Bee ... an actor's life for me' is a vibrant new musical comedy about actors' dreams (and realities, such as they are). Actors are by their nature innocents; they're willing to believe in anything as long as it gets them on the stage. BUZZ follows a cast of eight as they navigate the 'Mobius Trip' of life, from Shakespeare to vulture bees ... in Buzz, there are no stars, just human beings who've found their home in the Theatre. Buzz was honored by receiving the Golden Fleece Ltd. 22nd Annual Award for Music Theatre in progress, it was selected for a special presentation at The Woodstock Fringe, and it has had readings at The Dramatists Guild and The Actor's Temple. A staged reading was performed for a full house at St. Clements Theatre, sponsored by the Peccadillo Theatre Company, and most recently a concert version was sponsored by A.C.A. Galleries. The cast of BUZZ ... SON OF A BEE features Michael Citriniti, Chris D'Amico, Nora Davis, Ariana Johns, Evangeline Johns and Perryn Pomatto, with Darryl Curry on piano. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
