NYC: OVER 150 PERFORMERS TO TAKE PART IN METROPOLITAN ROOM'S 24-HOUR MARATHON KICKING OFF 2016 - JANUARY 2nd AND 3rd!
The 1st Annual "Cabaret 24-Hour Marathon Extravaganza ... It's A Tradition!" will be presented at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) starting on Sunday, January 2nd at 11:00 am, running continuously until Monday, January 3rd at 11:30 am! This year the Metropolitan Room, which eclipsed the Guinness World Record for longest variety show last January 1st to 4th, launches a new tradition for the club: The Cabaret 24-Hour Marathon Extravaganza ... It's a Tradition" At 24 continuous hours it still is the biggest show of the New Year, 24 hours of live entertainment featuring an eye-popping cross-section of singers, musicians, poets and variety acts from New York and beyond.SEVEN HOSTS/MCs! Seven notable cabaret personalities and performers will take turns hosting the gusher of talent: Dorothy Bishop, Harrison Greenbaum, Bobby Horowitz, Rachel Joan, Randie Levine-Miller, Tym Moss, and Bernie Furshpan, the Metropolitan Room's owner and co-booking manager (with Joseph Macchia).
THREE MUSIC DIRECTORS & 150 INDIVIDUAL ACTS! Three intrepid music directors keep show on track (and on key) as the roughly 150 individual acts perform 10-minute sets: Matt Baker, Seth Bisen-Hersh, and Jeffrey Fanzel.
$10 COVER - GOOD FOR THE FULL 24 HOURS! A beyond-reasonable $10 one-time admission fee is good for the entire 24-hour marathon. (Your first drink is free with purchase - no minimums!)
