Broadway Concerts Direct presents the next show in their Broadway Comes to Blooming Grove Series, 'A Concert of Joy & Thanks", at BLOOMING GROVE UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST (2 Old Dominion Road, Blooming Grove, NY - 410-908-1302) on Saturday, November 14th at 6:00 pm. Performers include Celia Berk, Carole Demas, Rich Flanders, Rob Gardner. Joanna Morton Gary, Janis Hall, Janice Meyerson, Mark Planner, Joanna Morton Gary, Mark Planner, Sarah Rice, Anne Tarpey-Flanders and Laura Thomas with Eric Sedgwick, Piano and Sarah Rice, Theremin. As with all live entertainment events, cast subject to change without notice. The evening is a benefit evening of heartfelt music, thrillingly beautiful songs, gloriously performed by some of the finest voices on Broadway and opera stages today. Music from Copeland to Strauss, to Mozart to beloved popular standards. All for a good cause. A great way to make you feel better about the holidays. From the Andrews Sisters to the Pointer Sisters, from the Shirelles to the Dixie Chicks, the Evolution of the Girl Groups explores the sound and story of some of music's most beloved female vocalists. With glorious harmonies and stories of struggle and success, Laura, Beckie and Marianne share their take on what compels us to watch these women of song continue to build on the legacy of the trailblazers that came before them. LOS ANGELES: CABARET IS ALIVE AND WELL AND LIVING IN LOS ANGELES PART 1
The second annual 'Cabaret is Alive and Well and Living in Los Angeles' event - a 4-night, 3-show celebration of Los Angeles Cabaret as a benefit for THE ACTORS FUND takes place on Friday through Monday, November 13th through 16th. Conceived and Directed by David Galligan and presented by Fraser Entertainment Group, the Friday-Monday event will take open at THE GARDENIA (7066 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA - 323-467-7444) on Friday & Saturday, November 13th & 14th at 9:00 pm. The show is titled "Together Again for the Second Time", two evenings of song, starring accomplished women of Cabaret. Musical Director is Gerald Sternbach. Doors open at 7 for dinner. Scheduled to appear: Carole Cook, Ilene Graff & Ben Lanzarone, Jane A. Johnston, Karen Morrow, Madison Claire Parks, Lisa Passero, Charlotte Rae, Marcia Rodd, Beverly Sanders & Jo Anne Worley.
