HOTLINE MEMBER CABARET EVENT TONIGHT IN NYC: ANN DAWSON AT THE MET - TRAVELING SOLO
Ann Dawson returns to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM(34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) Wednesday, October 28th at 7:00 pm with her new show 'Traveling Solo'. Directed by Barry Kleinbort and with music direction by Don Rebic, it is comprised of humorous and poignant tales and tunes celebrating life on and off the road. As a singer Ann has performed internationally in leading supper clubs and hotels winning critical acclaim in the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, England, South America and Australia. She has also appeared Off Broadway in Literary Disruption, Mamaleh! and Dorothy Parker: A Montage and in regional/ stock productions of Follies, Cabaret, Annie Get Your Gun, Zorba, My Fat Friend, Fiddler on the Roof and her favorite, Funny Girl. Playing Fanny inspired her to write her one-woman show, The Ladies with Talent, Taste & Chutzpah, A Tribute to Fanny Brice, Barbra Streisand, Molly Picon and Sophie Tucker, which she has performed to enthralled audiences in theatres and concert halls all across the country. Other credits include television appearances on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, Last of the Ninth (HBO Pilot/ David Milch) and Ryan's Hope as well as the feature film Sordid Things. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
