CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: WILLIAM BLAKE AT BIRDLAND
William Blake will be performing an evening of jazz standards and seasonal favorites atBIRDLAND (315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080 - ) on Wednesday & Thursday, December 25th & 26th at 11:00 pm. He will be joined by Michael Thomas Murray on piano, Lavondo Thomas on bass and Carmen Intorre on drums. Blake's show, Echoes of Etta: A Tribute To Etta James (a concert collaboration with musical director Mr. Murray featuring the music of Etta James), began on the Birdland stage nearly two years ago. They have since gone on to perform the show to sold-out audiences at Joe's Pub, the Cafe Carlyle, and the Gaslight in Portsmouth, NH. William has performed at many notable New York venues such as Carnegie Hall, Town Hall and Rose Hall at Lincoln Center.
