CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: CHRISTMAS WITH A K - KATIE THOMPSON AND FRIENDS
Katie Thompson and friends return to THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438 - ) on Sunday, December 22nd at 9:30 pm with 'Christmas with a K'. This Christmas song cycle premiered to a sold-out, two-encore crowd at 54 Below. Now, Katie is bringing the gang back together, with a few new surprises, all to benefit Toys for Tots. After spending the past year performing in Big Fish and being appearing in Giant at the Public Theater, Katie sets her sights on Christmas with a night of carols re-written, standards re-imagined, and New York's finest, funniest voices. Having penned three albums and two-and-a-half musicals, Katie promises to "put the mayhem back in Bethlehem" ... again! As a composer, Thompson always draws a crowd of the biggest voices of Broadway and Off-Broadway. For this new batch of holiday mischief, she is joined by Ben Cameron (Wicked, Aida), Daniel Everidge (Grease, Falling), Andrew Kober (House of Cards, Hair), Erin Quill (Avenue Q), Julia Mattison (Godspell, Turn Back O Man), MJ Rodriguez (Rent), and Marty Thomas (Wicked, Xanadu) and Joel Waggoner (Southern Comfort). There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
