NYC: EVA KANTOR REPRISES DEBUT SOLO SHOW "THE WAY I AM"

Eva Kantor returns to THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909 - ) with her show "The Way I Am" for one night only, on Sunday, June 16th at 7:00 pm. She is accompanied by the Don Rebic Trio. The occasion will be use to make a video of her debut solo show. Directed by Eric Michael Gillett, with Musical Direction by Don Rebic, the show is produced by Cookie Stark. Eva began acting at an early age and quickly excelled. She has played roles such as Eva Peron in Evita, Penny in Hairspray at the Weston Playhouse alongside Broadway veterans Marissa Perry and Jay A. Johnson, and the title role in the national tour of Nancy Ford and Gretchen Cryer's Anne of Green Gables. There is a $20 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum. $15 cover for members of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE.

NYC: TERESA FISCHER RETURNS TO DON'T TELL MAMA IN JUNE

With glowing reviews in hand, cabaret songstress Teresa Fischer reprises HIP TO BE HAPPY atDON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) in June! Encore performances for HIP TO BE HAPPY are scheduled for Mondays, June 10th, 17th & 24th all shows at 7:00 pm. In this lively musical hour, Teresa aka "Lady T" shows us how to keep our spirits high by always looking on the bright side - even when there doesn't seem to be one. Lady T has assembled an entertaining and eclectic array of songs from standards by Cole Porter and Sammy Fain to pop tunes by Christine Lavin, Ann Hampton Calloway and Mary Chapin Carpenter plus some newly discovered musical gems. Cabaret veteran Paul Chamlin is the musical director and one-man band for this fun evening that features special musical arrangements by Paul Chamlin, Andrew David Sotomayor, and James Pfister. This is Teresa's first new show since the release of the debut CD entitled LET IT GO in the fall of 2012. LET IT GO is available at cdbaby.com or for download at iTunes. NYC: VICKIE PHILLIPS IN SONGS FOR SUMMER NIGHTS

Vickie Phillips brings her show "Songs for Summer Nights" to DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 - ) on Saturday, June 22nd, Saturday, July 6th and Tuesday, July 9th, all shows at 7:15 pm. The show is directed by Bob Ost with musical direction by Tracy Stark. "Songs for Summer Nights" will feature musical selections from composers including Sheldon Harnick, Maltby & Shire, Craig Carnelia, and Bob Ost. Vickie Phillips is a familiar face on the Manhattan cabaret scene, as an award-winning singer and actress. Her off-Broadway credits include leading roles in Merry-Go-Round, A Safe Light, Far Side of the Moon, Musically Speaking, and Together with Music. She performed to standing-room-only audiences in concerts at the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. Her very first cabaret show received the Back Stage Bistro Award for "Outstanding Achievement in Cabaret." Ms. Phillips went on to be nominated for a MAC Award for her concept and performance in the musical revue American Cabaret: European Roots. Bob Ost, director, has been nominated for MAC Awards for "Best Special Material" for "A Quiet Little Christmas," "Best Revue" for "Not Quite What You Expected," and "Best CD" for "Everybody's Gettin' into the Act." Bob also won two national competitions for his musical "Finale!" He and Vickie won an OOBR Award for "Songs Are Like Friends." Pianist/ Arranger/ Conductor/ Singer/ Songwriter Tracy Stark is a 6-time MAC Award winner in the categories of Piano Bar Entertainer (2008. 2009), Music Director (2009, 2010, 2012), and Song of the Year (2011).
