TONIGHT NYC: BARBARA ROSENE: "NICE AND NAUGHTY" CD RELEASE PARTY
Barbara Rosene will hold a CD release party at BIRDLAND (315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080) on Thursday, February 21st at 6:00 pm. Her new CD is "Nice and Naughty" (Sweet and Saucy Tunes from the 1920s). Barbara's band includes pianist Conal Fowkes, who's voice and piano stylings as Cole Porter were featured in "Midnight In Paris"; Andy Stein on Violin, known for his work on "A Prairie Home Companion"; and New York Clarinetist Pete Martinez. Barbara Rosene has built an unequalled reputation for interpreting the great music of the 1920s through the 40s. "Nice and Naughty" is a collection of double and sometimes single entendre tunes from the 1920s coupled with some very sweet ones. There is a $20 cover plus a $10 food/drink minimum.
