NYC: "WHISTLING AWAY THE DARK" WITH SHANA FARR
Inspired by the rich collection of lyrics and melodies that have become synonymous with Julie Andrews, "Whistling Away The Dark" will be presented at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 - ) on Saturday, February 25th at 7:00 pm and Thursday, March 15th at 9:30 pm. The show is an hour of songs that represents not only great American standards but also beautiful, lesser known numbers such as "Crazy World," "Once Upon A Long Ago," "Star!," and the title piece, "Whistling Away The Dark." Music Director is Fred Barton with Adam Fisher on cello. Eric Michael Gillett directs. The show on March 15th also marks Shana's birthday. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
