This year, the 23rd Cabaret Convention will be held Wednesday through Friday, October 17th through 19th at FREDERICK P. ROSE HALL (Columbus Circle, Broadway at 60th Street, NYC - CenterCharge: 212-721-6500 ). The annual New York City Cabaret Convention, conceived, launched, and brilliantly sustained for the past 23 seasons by The Mabel Mercer Foundation, will honor the founder of the organization, Donald F. Smith, who passed away in March 2012. Thursday, October 18th: Salute to Cole Porter (Smith's avowed favorite composer/lyricist), hosted by Andrea Marcovicci and Jeff Harnar. Friday, October 19th: Thanks for the Memory, hosted by Klea Blackhurst. Includes the presentation of the annual Mabel Mercer Award (to Christine Andreas) and the first annual Donald F. Smith Award (to Ms. Blackhurst). All three performances begin at 6:00 pm.
