NYC: WILLIAM BLAKE IN "ECHOES OF ETTA" AT BIRDLAND
The Broadway at Birdland concert series presents the return of William Blake to perform his new show, "Echoes of Etta" atBIRDLAND (315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080) on Monday, June 4th at 7:00 pm. Blake, along with music director Michael Thomas Murray at the keys, Oscar Bautista on guitar, Steve Kelly on drums, Mike Preen on bass, Matthew Polashek on sax and the Peaches on backup, will celebrate the musical legacy of Etta James. From Etta's first #1 hit, "The Wallflower (Roll With Me, Henry)" to her quintessential "At Last," this concert will give a glimpse into the extraordinary career of an amazing artist. William Blake is a native of Dallas and has been performing professionally since the age of 19. As an actor, his regional musical theater credits include The Who's Tommy (Cousin Kevin), Chicago (Mary Sunshine), and The Rocky Horror Show (Riff Raff). There is a $30 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
