NYC: ANDERS HOLST RETURNS WITH "THE MAN INSIDE THE SONG"
American Smooth Jazz Award nominee, Anders Holst, will be returning to DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Friday, June 1st and Wednesday, June 13th, both shows at 7:00 pm. Anders will reprise his program, "The Man Inside The Song" which features original tracks as well as innovative covers of songs originally by Michael Jackson, The Beatles and Simply Red, among others. Directed by Eric Michael Gillett, the performance will also feature musical producer and pianist Bennett Paster and guitarist Sean Harkness. Following his influences and passion, Anders wrote his first song at age eleven. After years in the consulting business, Anders released his first EP, Five in 2005, followed in 2009 by the release of his second album, Romantika - a collection of songs that ponder love, separation and redemption. Romantika's release lead to a multitude of shows at the prestigious Feinstein's at the Loews Regency, a northeast tour of Botanical Gardens as part of his "Love Blooms" tour, a performance on WNBC's Weekend Today in New York, and a nomination for International Male Vocalist of the Year - alongside Michael Buble, Seal and Matt Dusk - in the 2010 American Smooth Jazz Awards. His third album, SoHo Suite was released in June 2011.
