Composer/ singer/ songwriter Michael Omer continues his New York City cabaret debut at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Fridays, April 13th & 20th, both shows at 7:00 pm. Michael Omer is a former regular at London's legendary Pizza on the Park and currently at The Pheasantry in Chelsea. A brilliant pianist, he evokes many musical moods: his original "Making (Royal) Whoopee" (new lyrics about the Royal Wedding); the noir-ish, moody "The Not American Beauty"; to jaunty musical monologues "I Don't Remember Names", his lament at a party. Other song titles include "Mr McGee," a specialty number about a topic familiar to many New Yorkers; "Sexy Samba (Decaffinato)" and Dave Frishberg's jazzy "Blizzard of Lies". There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
