L.A.: PETER MAC IN "AS LONG AS I'M SINGING"
Gender illusionist and female tribute artist Peter Mac sheds his sequins in his show "As Long As I'm Singing" at THE GARDENIA (7066 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA - 323-467-7444) on Friday & Saturday, November 25th & 26th at 9:00 pm to share anecdotes about his life and stage work and to sing the works of some of his favorite composers, including Harold Arlen, Stephen Schwartz, Sammy Cahn, and The Bergmans, with musical direction by Bryan Miller. He made his Off-Broadway debut in the jazz musical, Ferryboat, and also toured the East Coast as "Peter Van Damm" in the dramatic musical, Anne Frank: A Voice Heard. Other favorite roles have included "Matt" in The Fantasticks, "Judas" in Godspell, and "Tony" in West Side Story. In 2001 he penned his autobiographical play, Judy and Me, a love letter to Judy Garland, which enjoyed several off-off Broadway incarnations, including two years at Rose's Turn, before its official Off-Broadway debut in 2008 at St. Luke's Theatre.
