NYC: JULIE HALSTON RETURNS IN OLD, NEW, BORROWED, BLUE
Jim Caruso presents Broadway and television personality Julie Halston at BIRDLAND (315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080) on Monday, July 11th at 7:00 pm. Her show, Old, New, Borrowed, Blue, is part of the Broadway at Birdland concert series. Julie returns in this brand new show, which will combine her usual hysterical observations of life, show biz and the fall of Western Civilization. Ms. Halston is one of the busiest actress/comediennes working today. She is currently starring in Charles Busch's new play, Olive and the Bitter Herbs at Primary Stages, opening in July. She was recently re-teamed with Busch off-Broadway in The Divine Sister, for which she was nominated for a Drama Desk Award. She also played Tina Carmello on the CBS sitcom "The Class" to great acclaim several seasons ago. Well-known to theatre audiences, she was last seen on Broadway in Hairspray after receiving rave reviews (as well as receiving Drama Desk and Drama League nominations) for her performance in William Hamilton's White Chocolate. There is a $25-$35 cover plus a $10 food/drink minimum.
