NYC: MARISSA MULDER SINGS THE SONGS OF JIMMY VAN HEUSEN

Marissa Mulder will perform her new show, "Look to Your Heart", featuring the songs of Jimmy Van Heusen, at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Saturday, June 4th and Wednesday, June 8th at 9:30 pm and Thursday, June 16th at 7:00 pm. Last year she made her cabaret debut at Don't Tell Mama under the direction of her mentor, singer Karen Oberlin and was featured in an all-star tribute to the music of Mickey Leonard on February presented by Ms. Oberlin. Jimmy Van Heusen was a -time Oscar winning composer. He wrote more than 400 songs, including " Polka Dots and Moonbeams", "Imagination", "Call me Irresponsible", and "All the Way." He wrote hit after hit for Bing Crosby and he wrote more songs recorded by Frank Sinatra than any other composer. NYC: PEGGY HERMAN WITH "HERMAN ON HERMAN"

Peggy Herman makes her much-anticipated return to the New York cabaret stage with a new show, "Herman on Herman ... with a Touch of Merman" to be presented at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440). Directed by Peter Glebo and Tommy Tune, with music director Alex Rybeck on piano, "Herman on Herman ... " will be presented on Sunday, June 5th at 4:00 pm. Herman has appeared at Town Hall, and such fabled Manhattan nightspots as The Firebird Cafe, The King Kong Room, and Eighty Eights. Her career was launched at sea, where she performed on five-star cruise ships with Cunard, Royal Viking, Oceania, and Crystal Cruise Lines. This in turn led to a nightclub career, during which she opened for Phyllis Diller at Miami Beach's Fontainebleau Hotel, and, later on, for Bob Hope, Alan King and Milton Berle. Singer/actress Susan Siegel makes her NYC cabaret debut with her show Stops & Starts at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438). Chris Barrett returns to NYC cabaret in May and June at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440). Remaining show dates and times are Friday, June 10th at 9:30 pm; and Friday, June 17th at s9:30 pm. The show is in the tradition of the great late-night boites of a fondly remembered era, when the likes of Hugh Shannon, Bobby Short, and Buddy Barnes manned the keyboard. Barrett has been performing throughout the USA and in Europe since 1973. His career highlights in New York City include repeat engagements at New York's Stanhope, Carlyle, Pierre, U.N. Plaza, and Westbury Hotels. Among his engagements throughout the USA are the Hotel Bel-Air, Los Angeles; the Ritz-Carlton, Washington, DC; and the John Drew Theater, East Hampton, NY In Europe, he has enjoyed repeated bookings at the Hotel Cipriani, Venice; the Berkeley Hotel, London; and the Hotel Poseidon, Positano, Italy. Chris Barrett is also the recipient of the Back Stage Bistro Award for best singer/instrumentalist and a finalist at the 2005 Nightlife Awards. His most recent CD, Champagne Sometimes ... a Night Out with Chris Barrett, and his other recordings will be available for purchase after each show. PA: ALICE FRAZIER PRESENTS A BENEFIT CONCERT IN ERIE

On Monday, June 13th at 7:00 pm, cabaret and concert artist, Alice Frazier will perform "Without A Song" at ST. JAMES PLACE (2622 Buffalo Road, Erie, PA - 814-504-2480). The show will be preceded by a Buffet at 6:00 pm. Musical Director is renowned pianist, Don Rebic. "Without A Song" will feature songs from Broadway, some of the great standards, and pop, with selections from Mamma Mia, Song & Dance, Les Miserables, and including composers from Frank Loesser, Kander & Ebb, Irving Berlin, Rupert Holmes, Stephen Sondheim, Marilyn & Alan Bergman, to John Lennon, Elton John, Michel Legrand, Al Jarreau and much more. The show is a Benefit Concert for Erie, PA resident, 40-year old Tricia Mayo. Tricia was born with an atrial septal defect (ASD) which is a hole in the heart. This disorder was not detected or treated in childhood and as a result in December 2006 at age 35 Tricia was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension which caused the right side of her heart to enlarge itself four times its size and the heart is overworked because the lungs are barely functioning. Because of this, Tricia is now in need of a double lung transplant and a possible heart transplant. She requires oxygen 24-hours a day. Tricia Mayo is an amazing young woman, who despite her medical condition and with the support of her loving husband, Brian Mayo, and her family, attends all of Alice Frazier's performances.
