NYC: JOHN PIZZARELLI QUARTET AT BIRDLAND
John Pizzarelli, the world-renowned jazz guitarist and singer, returns to BIRDLAND(315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080) Tuesday through Saturday, April 12th through 16th with shows at 8:30 & 11:00 pm. Son of the legendary guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli, New Jersey native John Pizzarelli has become one of the most recognizable faces and voices in contemporary jazz. He has had a multi-faceted career as a jazz guitarist, vocalist and bandleader, known around the world for the cool jazz flavor he brings to classic standards, late-night ballads, and each of his hugely entertaining live performances and masterful recordings. John will lead a quartet consisting of younger brother Martin Pizzarelli (bass), Larry Fuller (piano) and Tony Tedesco (drums). There is a $40 cover plus a $10 food/drink minimum.
