NYC: JUDY BUTTERFIELD WITH "UNDER THE MANHATTAN MOON"
Judy Butterfield returns with her acclaimed show "Under The Manhattan Moon" atFEINSTEIN'S at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue, NYC - 212-339-4095) Thursday through Saturday, January 20th through 22nd at 8:30 pm. The recipient of the Mabel Mercer Foundation's Julie Wilson Award, Ms. Butterfield is returning to Feinstein's at Loews Regency for her third engagement. At twenty one years old, Ms. Butterfield has performed concerts across the country, released two CDs "Judy Sings Judy: Live From The Empire Plush Room" and "How Long Has This Been Going On?", and has appeared in New York at the Rose Theater in Lincoln Center, Town Hall, and the legendary Oak Room at The Algonquin Hotel. Ms. Butterfield's new show "Under The Manhattan Moon" combines her youthful take on the Great American Songbook with a narrative based on her experiences as a young woman newly living in New York City. Judy uses the music of the Gershwin's, Cole Porter, Jerome Kern and Harold Arlen, as well as Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan to examine the life that she's living in Modern Day Manhattan in contrast to the love story of her grandparents that took place on the same streets two generations ago.
