NYC: THE BIRDLAND BIG BAND DIRECTED BY TOMMY IGOE
Drummer Tommy Igoe's Birdland Big Band will perform atBIRDLAND (315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080) Tuesday through Saturday, December 28th through January 1st with shows at 8:30 & 11:00 pm. Igoe's is the hottest big band in New York, and has been playing to sold out audiences every Friday night at BIRDLAND for the past four years. Each week, the band features special guests such as bass icons Will Lee and Tom Kennedy, harmonica extraordinaire Rob Paparozzi and percussion virtuoso Rolando Morales-Matos for the now incredibly popular "Latin Night." Each and every week is a completely different show and surprise guests often appear unannounced. Join Tommy and the Birdland Big Band this December as they lead us into the New Year with a five-night run! Special guest Hilary Kole will lend her vocal talents to the band on occasion throughout the run, and will be the featured guest performer on December 31st for Birdland's festive 8:00 & 11:00 pm New Year's Eve celebrations. There is a $30-$40 cover plus a $10 food/drink minimum. New Year's Eve cover at 8:00 pm is $50 and at 11:00 pm is $75, plus $20 food/drink minimum.
