Seattle Opera Chorus soloist Karl Marx Reyes joins Arnaldo! dragchanteuse in an exciting evening of music with the phenomenal John Engerman as musical director. Karl Marx Reyes is a Filipino American Tenor trained in the Pacific Northwest. Mr. Reyes made his Seattle Opera debut as a Contadino in Leoncavallo's Pagliacci, followed as the Messenger in Verdi's Aida and then the NVA Lieutenant Commander in the world premiere of Daron Hagen's Amelia. Arnaldo! Drag Chanteuse is a New York Bistro Award winner and also artistic director of The Pacific Northwest Cabaret Association. Cecily Kate will be joined by Reggie Berg on piano and the Greg Hammontree jazz trio. Cecily made her off Broadway debut as Belle in a "G & S Christmas Carol" where she was reviewed as a "Powerful, ringing soprano." She went on to play several roles such as Patty in "Grease", the title role in "Violet" and Roxie in "Chicago". Cecily has worked in two productions at the Paper Mill Playhouse where she received her Actors Equity card. Cecily made her Broadway debut in "A Wonderful Life" starring Brian Stokes Mitchell and Judy Kuhn. The show was named one of the ten best Theatre of 2005 by Time. Cecily spent a year sailing aboard Oceania Cruises where she performed her own cabaret and explored South America. Currently honed her cabaret show with Palame Productions performing around the tri-state area. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

The one common characteristic that most listeners agree when hearing Andy is on the unique sound of his voice and quality of the phrasing. More specifically, his voice is uncannily sincere to the era within his music selection. If there is one rare attribute to Andy's art that makes him unique it is this: his sound is nostalgic and like that of the original crooners. Although he covers much of the material common to singers like Sinatra, Andy has never been identified exclusively within that repertoire or style. That's what keeps him coming back to the jazz venues again and again. Nor is Andy a jazz singer, despite its influence on his career. Ellen has recently returned to her Rock & Roll roots, performing original and classic material with her new band, Ellen Foley and the Worried Men. This Spring she releases her new album, About Time. She is best known as The Girl on the multi-platinum duet with Meat Loaf, "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" in which she uttered the three immortal words: "Stop right there!" She also received several gold records and awards for her three solo albums recorded on Epic Records, produced by such rock legends as Ian Hunter, Mick Ronson, and Mick Jones and Joe Strummer of The Clash. As an actor, she starred in the TV series "Night Court," and as host of the VH-1 series, "Top 21 Countdown." She also played featured roles in the films "Hair," "Tootsie," "Fatal Attraction," "Married to the Mob," and "Cocktail" – and leading roles on Broadway in Me and My Girl, Into The Woods, and the revival of Hair. In just over thirteen years, critically acclaimed jazz vocalist Jane Monheit's honey-smooth vocals, silky phrasing and natural knack for storytelling have earned her two Grammy nominations and established her as one of her generation's most beloved and accomplished vocalists. Jane returns to Birdland to celebrate the release of her 11th CD, "The Heart Of The Matter." In 2010, Hilary went from waiting tables to making her Broadway debut in two-time Tony-award winner Twyla Tharp's hit musical, Come Fly Away. Willing to Be Lucky: Songs of New York takes its title from E.B. White's iconic 1948 essay, Here is New York, in which White sagely counsels the reader, "No one should come to New York to live unless he is willing to be lucky." With a program of songs both urban and urbane by composers like Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, Nellie McKay, and Dave Frishberg, among others, Hilary celebrates New York's many complexities, contradictions, and moments of unexpected beauty. The 6th Season of The Concerts for City Greens May 26th Concert Announced

The 6th Season of The Concerts for City Greens, free outdoor concert series, commences on Wednesday, May 29th at 6:30 pm (Rain date: Thursday, May 30th at 6:30pm.) at Tudor City Greens, with "I Feel So Much Spring," and will feature professional performers from Broadway and the New York City cabaret, jazz, classical and opera scene. All performers donate their time and talent to benefit MUSIC AND ART FOR GREEN. The concert will be hosted by Tudor City resident, Broadway and cabaret veteran Raissa Katona Bennett.

This concert will feature multiple MAC, Bistro & Nightlife Award Winner BABY JANE DEXTER, Singer/Pianist ERIC YVES GARCIA, Forbidden Broadway Alumni & Recording Artist JAMES DONEGAN, Opera Singer JULIE DINIZ, Opera and Symphonic Singer JIMI JAMES, Singer-Songwriter, Pianist & Recording Artist KAREN KARSH and Metro Star Winner & Recording Artist MARISSA MULDER.

Host RAISSA KATONA BENNETT, Broadway’s "Christine" in Phantom of the Opera and MAC & Bistro Award Winner, welcomes back series regulars, MAC & Bistro Award Winner TERESE GENECCO as sidekick & drummer, MAC & Bistro Award Winner & Windham Hill Recording Artist SEAN HARKNESS on guitar, MAC Award Winning Composer, Pianist & Musical Director, BILL ZEFFIRO, and introduces Carnegie Hall Violinist NICHOLAS PERRY.

Additional musical direction will be provided by pianists DAVID CALDWELL and MARK JANAS with MATT SCHARFGLASS on bass.

Conceived and developed by Raissa Katona Bennett, The Concerts for City Greens is part of a newly forming non-profit, MUSIC AND ART FOR GREEN, whose mission is to expose culturally and socio-economically diverse audiences of all ages to free, professional live music and art events in city settings, while linking with other community groups and organizations to promote the "greening" of cities in various ways including, but not limited to: fiscal support, educational outreach, fostering environmental awareness, action and volunteerism. The organization will continue to produce at Tudor City Greens, while actively promoting creative and inclusive uses of other public green spaces.

Musical Director Brad Simmons keeps the house jumping from the piano, while host Mosher guides the crowd through an evening of music, mayhem and full throttle belting. Special guests from hit Broadway shows drop in to perform. Members of the "Backstage repertory company", featuring some of New York's most exciting musical theatre talent, are on hand each week to sing everything from Schwartz to Sondheim. The 54 Below WBGO Jazz Series at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) will feature weekly Tuesday evening shows by jazz artists with performances at 7:00 & 9:00 pm. Just around the corner from Swing Street, these seasoned jazz performers come to Broadway's Nightclub to play and sing the night away in grand style. Featured on Tuesday, May 21st, the Karrin Allyson Quartet. Karrin Allyson's voice is pure ambrosia for the heart, mind, and soul, with a remarkable and unique style that can make the beat sing, melody swing and lovers cling like there might be no tomorrow.
