Award-winning songwriter and performer Hector Coris brings his original musical comedy revue and 2009 MAC AWARD NOMINEE What's The Point?! - with original music by Alan Cancelino - back to NYC at THE REPRISE ROOM AT DILLON'S (245 West 54th Street, NYC - 347-678-8054) on Thursday, April 23rd at 7:00 pm. Like its predecessor, What's Your Problem?!, this revue was crafted from a slightly gay perspective, but the truths are all universal. The show pokes fun at cell phone junkies, Upper West Side parenting, prescription pharmaceuticals, Disney's The Little Mermaid, on-line dating, homosexuality in the animal kingdom, California legislation among a myriad of other random but relevant topics. Tickets are $15 plus a $15 food/drink minimum. $5 cover for members of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE.

MEMBER DISCOUNT: $10 OFF THE COVER
---------------
Award-winning songwriter and performer Hector Coris brings his original musical comedy revue and 2009 MAC AWARD NOMINEE What's The Point?! - with original music by Alan Cancelino - back to NYC at THE REPRISE ROOM AT DILLON'S (245 West 54th Street, NYC - 347-678-8054) on Thursday, April 23rd at 7:00 pm. The show will be performed by Hector Coris, Patrick Garrigan and Eadie Scott. The show's musical director is also the show's composer, Alan Cancelino. What's The Point?! is a loving throwback to the irreverent West Village revues of the late 1950s and 1960s, which took pointed shots at the conditions of society and commented on popular trends.

Recently Shaynee Rainbolt went into the studio with this legendary composer/arranger to create the first-ever vocal album of Russ Garcia originals. Whether Russell Garcia was composing film scores In Hollywood (The Time Machine, Atlantis the Lost Continent, Charlie Chaplin's Limelight etc.), arranging for Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Anita O'Day, Julie London, Blossom Dearie, Mel Torme, or Frances Faye (to name just a few) or composing ground-breaking modern symphonic Jazz for Stan Kenton in the 50s, it is undisputed that Garcia's musical contributions created the template by which so much of our modern movie music, big band and pop-jazz have sprung. TIPS FOR CABARET PERFORMERS
Don't wait until the last minute to offer a discount off the cover charge for your show. Offering a discount shows that your care about your friends in whatever organization is included in the offer. If you wait until too late, it looks like you are "in a panic" - more concerned about filling seats than being appreciative of your friends in the organization. Many people actually shy away from attending shows that appear to be "in a panic". (Be sure to check with the venue if cover discounts are allowed).

ANOTHER TIP FOR CABARET PERFORMERS
: Giving a "trade" discount to your show? Be sure to make the person seating the room aware of this fact before the show - and explain exactly what the discount is and to whom it should be given (even if you have already explained this when you booked the room).
TIPS FOR CABARET PERFORMERS
Giving a "trade" discount to your show? Please be sure to tell those who might take advantage of the discount to alert the host when you are seated, and the staff person taking your order of this. It will save time and confusion at the end of the show when your get your bill. This is especially true if credit cards are involved. If they don't speak up at the start, they may not get the discount at the end.
