NYC: SHARON MCNIGHT - SONGS TO OFFEND ALMOST EVERYONE

West Coast based Sharon McNight reprises her outrageous show from 2001, 'SONGS TO OFFEND ALMOST EVERYONE', which was and still is designed to offend minorities and majorities of every persuasion, at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Thursday, March 10th at 7:00 pm. The award winning McNight (who is in NYC to pick up yet another award) went on to create 2 CDs from this show where nothing is sacred and names are named like Randy Newman, Steven Sondheim, Tom Lehrer and Chet Adkins. Viewer discretion advised. Ian Herman mans the mighty Wurlitzer. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: IT'S JUST A NUMBER WITH BOBBIE HOROWITZ HONORS BABARA MALLEY

The next presentation of "It's Just a Number" is set for Thursday, March 10th at 7:00 pm at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440). This series, hosted by songwriter, performer, producer, Bobbie Horowitz, intends to open America's eyes to the fact that every age can be filled with vitality. People over age 50 are still cookin'! Teens, 20, 30 & 40 year olds come on in to see great performers & learn you don't have to fear getting older. It's just a number! The honoree for this show is Babara Malley - former nun, now psychologist & actor/ director - in her 80s! Scheduled to perform in this show: Jae Maynard, Charles Baran, Bob Diamond, Joey Infante, Jay Rogers, Sally Darling, Ruth Carlin, and Meg Flather. As with all live entertainment events, cast subject to change without notice. In each show Bobbie will honor a person age 50, 60, 70 or beyond who has begun a new career, pick up an old career they gave up on, took on a new undertaking, gone back to school to learn a new skill, etc. In 2015, those aged 50 and older represent 45% of the U.S. population and the number will continue to grow! Many seniors and Boomers can and want to do more than merely order Health Alerts and we're showing them they can! There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

CHICAGO: CHICAGO CABARET PROFESSIONALS PRESENT LULLABY OF BROADWAY

"Lullaby of Broadway" is a cabaret event sponsored by CCP (Chicago Cabaret Professionals) to be held at DAVENPORT'S (1383 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, IL - 773-278-1830) on Thursday, March 10th at 11:00 pm, featuring company members from the national tour of '42nd Street', currently playing at The Cadillac Palace in Chicago as a part of the Broadway in Chicago series, March 8th through March 20th. The evening will benefit the CCP (Chicago Cabaret Professionals)! The show will feature singing, dancing and some comedy to tie it all together. Join the cast after the show in downtown Chicago, for a night of great music and fun after the show. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

LONDON: OPEN MIC NIGHT AT THE CRAZY COQS 

Harold Sanditen, jazz-cabaret singer and veteran theatre producer, is host of Open Mic Night at THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888) every Thursday at 10:30 pm, ably supported by regular musicians Michael Roulston on piano and Jonty Fisher on bass. It is always an entertaining evening full of fun and surprise. Aimed at both the jazz and theatrical communities, The Crazy Coqs Open Mic Night welcomes all singers, composers and musicians, up & coming and established, who want to do a turn, performing new material or old favourites. For the audience, come and catch that proverbial 'rising star' (or possibly a famous West End name) in the intimate, "jewel-box" surroundings of The Crazy Coqs. Call for cover/minimum information.
