NYC: REINHAGEN REDUX: A REDUX RECAP FOR A SPECIAL CAUSE
FEATURED CABARET BENEFIT EVENT

Gretchen Reinhagen, a multi-award winning artist, having received the coveted TRIPLE CROWN of cabaret awards by winning the 2010 Nightlife Award, Bistro Award and MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets - http://www.macnyc.com/ ) Award for her show Special Kaye: A Tribute to the Incomparable Kaye Ballard, will present a special recap of her show REINHAGEN REDUX at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM(34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Wednesday, February 3rd at 7:00 pm. Equally at home behind the scenes, Gretchen works as a voice teacher and director, having won the 2013 MAC Award for directing. Her 2015 series, Reinhagen Redux, revisits a different show each month. In "Reinhagen Redux: A Redux Recap" Gretchen Reinhagen once again revisits some of her favorite shows and includes several numbers from each. The show boasts two stellar musical directors: Tracy Stark and Andrew David Sotomayor, as well as multi-award winning director, Barry Kleinbort. Gretchen began the series in April with "Almost Blue", followed by "Special Kaye: A Tribute to the Incomparable Kay Ballard" in May, and "Listen the Music: The Songs of My 70s" in June, "Both Sides Now" in October - a mix of contemporary hits and standards, a la "Sides A and B of the Record"; "How 'Bout Them Apples?!" in November - Gretchen's comic cabaret. Each show offered something different, yet each are uniquely Gretchen updated only enough to spotlight these shows from the perspective of the artist she is today. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum. All proceeds benefit Bob Reinhagen's Pancreatic Cancer Medical Expenses. (Gretchen's dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer over the holidays. It's been a whirlwind of a month trying to get everything in place, get treatments started, etc, and she has been helping her family to deal with all the rising medical costs. So all of the proceeds from this show will go into an account I set up to pay his medical expenses.)
