Tony Award nominee - and San Francisco legend - Sharon McNight resurrects music and comic legend Sophie Tucker at FEINSTEIN'S AT THE NIKKO (222 Mason Street, San Francisco, CA - 866-663-1063) on Wednesday & Thursday, October 28th & 29th at 8:00 pm in her critically acclaimed one-woman show, 'Sophie Tucker's Farewell Tour'. Featuring some of Sophie Tucker's greatest performances, including "After You've Gone," "They'll Be Some Changes Made," "Darktown Strutters' Ball," "Please Don't Talk About Me When I'm Gone," "The Man I Love," and her signature theme song, "Some of These Days," the evening is complete with Sophie's naughty jokes, bawdy songs, sing-alongs and Sharon McNight's once-in-a-lifetime performance! 'Sophie Tucker's Farewell Tour' has all the ingredients for a memorable night you will never forget! Sharon McNight, Tony Award nominee and Theater World Award winner for her role in Starmites, has gone on to a celebrated bi-coastal career, being voted Best Actress by the San Francisco Bay Area Critics' Circle Award and winning the New York Critics Nightlife Award for Best Musical Theater Cabaret Show. She recently made her opera debut in Show Boat with the San Francisco Opera. Sharon has been performing the works of Sophie Tucker for more than two decades. Sophie - who livened up early 20th century nightclubs, Broadway and films with her risque jokes and classic popular songs - had a career that spanned half a century. Widely regarded as the "Last of the Red Hot Mamas," Sophie was the first woman to sell one million records. There is a $25-$40 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.
